This bridge was built in 1990 over the River Main that connected Untermainkai (north) and Schaumainkai (south) of frankfurt. The Holbeinsteg footbridge reserved solely for pedestrians and cyclists. It is worth seeing especially the skyline situated on the northern side of the river.

There are some very nice views of the river and the surrounding area from the bridge so worth visiting on your trip to the city.

Footbridge

Holbeinsteg is one of the footbridges across the Main river in Frankfurt. It is a relatively modern but decent looking bridge.
I walked across on it while on my morning walk exploring the area.

Nice pedestrian bridge

I enjoyed walking across this bridge to get from one side of the river to the other. My hotel was actually located about 2 blocks from this bridge so it came in handy. Walk across during the day and during the night for different views. During the day, getting a view of the church towers is gorgeous, and at night the lit up skyline is really good to see too.
I noticed that this bridge is less busy than the Iron bridge or any of the ones that allow cars. I would recommend this bridge if you have kids or large groups of people so you dont have to worry about cars.

My favourite bridge

This bridge was my favourite as not only did it give you the same photo shots as it’s more well known partner, Eiserner Steg, but it’s closer to the skyscrapers for different kinds of shots

Functional bridge between Frankfurt's two sides

This bridge is very comfortable for both car drivers and pedestrians, and links Frankfurt's Northern side with its Southern side.

Just a bridge

I go for long walks in every city I visit to see the sights not on the normal tourist track....to be honest a bridge is a bridge,,nothing special here..

The Wrought Iron Bridge of Frankfurt.

A walk bridge made of old wrought iron. makes for a good place to watch the sun set in the evening amidst the skyline.

Better than Iron Bridge!

I personally think that Holbeinsteg is a better looking bridge than Iron bridge.
Most importantly there was less people in here. You got to enjoy the beautiful river and surrounding longer, easier and relaxing.

what a place the work and design of the this structure is just out of this world and the views is amazing we had a great time to be hear this is a must to visit
