Lively street in a charming neighborhood

We took a stroll up Bergerstrasse a few days ago. It's a gentrified street, really lovely, actually, with lots of cafes, restaurants, small shops, and pleasant people everywhere.

I went here with other 9 friends and we ordered on average 1 dish each. We waited over an hour for the food. The quality of the food was excellent, and definitely worth the price, but we waited too much

This former underground war bunker maintains its original construction but is now happily a wonderful wine pub with wonderful artisanal cheese platters, large freshly baked pretzels and other treats to consume. A historical lesson set in modern day with a pleasant and unique tasty food and wine experience.

Berger Street is full of live, day and night. Restaurants, coffee shops and family owned beautifully decorated shops are lined up here and wait to be discovered. Besides Leipziger Strasse this is a very good place to find unique concepts, food- and shopping-wise.

Having seen the major chain stores in the Hauptwache area we walked from Zeil and some way up Berger Straße. It's a long road with many smaller shops and cafes. Well worth a visit and not as busy as Zeil.

Probably 3 + km from top to bottom and with a wide variety of smaller shops and an abundance of restaurants with mixed ethnicities. Easy to reach with the U4 Merianplatz, Höhenstr or Bornheim-Mitte all exiting onto Bergerstr. whereas parking is a problem for visitors.

I love Berger street, but recommend to avoid (or at least be very prepared) to the cinema. It shows films in English, even 3D. A group of us English speakers went to the movie... The cinema needs a GOOD vacuuming. It smelled like an old attic. The 3D was blurred for few seconds at least 6 times during the film... More

Got off the Bornheim Mitte station stop to meet a friend at the designated Berger Strasse on a very rainy Friday night. I observed a very young crowd out and about, it seems a very trendy place. There are lots of restaurants and pubs to choose to have a good time. Met my friend and we went to a Spanish... More

We had hoped to see a market here but it was not on as there was going to be a food and drink festival the following day. However, it was a nice walk and lots of shops and cafes and at the bottom of the road is a very nice Chinese garden

Berger Street is a nice street to celebrate in the night or go shopping on the day. It looks a bit alternative and charming with lots of restaurants, pubs and bars. The street is not as overrun as Alt Sachsenhausen.
