Nice area in a big city. I can imagine that it's nice to rest there after a hard workday. Even for tourist it's nice but to be honest I find it a bit too small...

My friend and I headed to Sachsenhausen for an early dinner and could see the area slowly coming to life. The area is full of restaurants and cobblestone streets. It is great place to wander around and maybe a grab a bite.

Went here for German fun with beer and music.however when we got there it was a ghost town.the place had cobbled streets with lots of bars all serving German food.felt a bit spooky.not good fun more life in the bars and restaurants around the main shopping areas.

Sachenhausen has a teeming nightlife with eateries, beer and wine bars, eros centers (sex for sale), souvenir shoppes. Located near the Hauptbahnhof, it can be visited easily while waiting for your train

Old Sachsenhausen is full of Applewein bars, restaurants, an Irish pub and various music venues all accessible by foot. This is the most consistent place to find nightlife in Frankfurt. In particular the Applewein bar Fichti Kränzi, just a bit off the beaten bath.

So underwhelming that I thought I was in the wrong place. I have traveled alot in Germany and was disappointed that a large city can boast this as an 'alt stadt'. The one true comment people make is this is the best of Frankfurt, thank God for the Airport and fantastic museums to save it's reputation.

I went for a walk through this area. It felt very safe. There are a lot of shops and places to eat. Being from America the feel of the area is so different. Very enjoyable.

It is a popular evening spot for tourist and local alike. There is plenty of Hessian (local German) cooking. Summers are great for enjoying the outdoors as restaurants all have outdoor seating. Herbs grown locally in Frankfurt are blended to make a green sauce used in many Hessian dishes.
