Like so many things in Frankfurt, the Palmengarten is overpriced, especially when compared to other botanical gardens in Germany. It also has a lot less to offer than some of the others I visited, and has some very visitor-unfriendly limitations on the days and hours some of its exhibits may be viewed.

It is one of the must do attractions in Frankfurt: there are different areas where you can see plants from many subclimates, from desert to rain forest to tropic islands. There are also nice gardends outside, however we could not make the most out of it since we visited it in December.

- was invited to an event twice already - once all the trouble is to much, you can hide away in the "real" jungle just next door

Been to the Palmengarten many times with the children when they were small and again just for a walk and to enjoy the ambiance throughout the year.

It is a nice place to spend almost a day with family, specially if there are children. There are a lot of plants and trees from around the world. The place is huge with very big park and gardens, so children get to run and play around. You can also do boating and a small train ride

The Frankfurt botanical garden has something to offer any time of year. Always a popular place, it has really gained in attractiveness over the past decade, as a a true oasis in a busy city. A good place to calm the mind and appreciate the beauty nature has to offer. The garden offers something for all ages. Because it is... More

I visited the Palmengarten because it had received such wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor and I was not disappointed. Even in the winter, the gardens are lovely. There are several ponds and a fountain with ducks and geese and swans. There is the plan house and the tropical house to visit; it being quite toasty in the later. The grounds... More

Great place... we're lucky enough to live next door so use this as our garden. Great events throughout the year. The glasshouses make a good visit even when the weather is bad. The "Goose" pop-up restaurant in the grounds is also excellent. Look out for the lizards in the palm houses!
