I visited the Palmengarten because it had received such wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor and I was not disappointed. Even in the winter, the gardens are lovely. There are several ponds and a fountain with ducks and geese and swans. There is the plan house and the tropical house to visit; it being quite toasty in the later. The grounds... More

Great place... we're lucky enough to live next door so use this as our garden. Great events throughout the year. The glasshouses make a good visit even when the weather is bad. The "Goose" pop-up restaurant in the grounds is also excellent. Look out for the lizards in the palm houses!

Relaxing way to kill a couple of hours without need to leave Frankfurt downtown. The park is very clean with very warm Autumn colors (we visited end November).

The gardens are easy to locate, and don't require any pre-prepared plan to visit them. When I visited it was on a whim as I was in the area, and it took less than two minutes to get through the queue and grab some tickets. I'm probably biased here, as I only had to pay a student fare, but the... More

Had a late afternoon free and had never been here. Spent about 2-3 hours walking the grounds and going through most of the indoor gardens. Could have spent even more time going through more leisurely. It's an oasis in the middle of Frankfurt. Very soothing.

Palmengarten is for visitors any age. It has a great history and fascinating Botonical indoor garden. They hold many excibitions throughout the year. My favorite is the yearly " Rosen und Lichterfest ". I can´t miss this. Great Food, Live music, with a Firework display in the evening. People bring their picnic blankets and snacks and lots and lots of... More

I'm living in Frankfurt now for several years and I'm going to the Palmengarten once a year. With its greenhouses, different special exhibitions throughout the year (like roses e.g.) and a great outside area it's a nice place to relax and enjoy the different plants of the earth and the local season's flowers.

In the heart of the busy city of Frankfurt, it could be the best place to relax and just listen to the birds or see the nature. It's not a big garden but nice and a place you may enjoy it specially during Spring and Summer.

Despite of the relatively high admission of 7 Euro, this place is just lovely! We were super lucky with the weather and had a sunny November day bringing out all the best of the autumn colours! The dahlia fields were still in full bloom, the green houses absolutely well set up and interesting. Especially the Supantarktisches Haus, where my husband... More
