This is a very fine modern art gallery. While its collections are eclipsed by Munich's Moderne Panakotek or New York's MOMA, it does contain some interesting works. If you have the time, it is well worth a visit.

Lovely building. That's about it I am afraid. Art is very limited and not particularly inspiring. If it's raining and you want to kill an hour it is worth a visit other wise do to the Städel Museum instead!

We went on a free day because of the city's cultural day. I'm glad it was free. Walls of pictures depicting dirtbags shooting up is not art and it certainly did not evoke empathy from me. However, the Israel Palestine exhibit was well done and thought provoking. I do admit that I don't care for modern art, but there wasn't... More

This is a fantastic place to visit! There was a room of swinging pendulums, I think I was in there watching them for close 1/2 an hour. Really great and unique work here! Even included a creepy video that you could watch alongside a bunch of wooden heads!

Modern art, yes. Been there. Done that. MoMA in New York, Paris, London, Tokyo... But what is this? Seriously? A completely different type of modern art museum where the pieces were interesting, but they also use the space in the museum to compliment the pieces. Yeah, hard to describe, but see for yourself! What was interesting was that I didn't... More

Loved the exhibition based on Fahrenheit 451, works from MMk, Tate and Pompidoux. On until September, some really exciting pieces, some of course not so good.

A cool experimental place to visit, you can tell the people managing this place put a lot of thoughts into it. I love the rings challenge (at the end of the visit) and the weird display TV screen thing once you walked in! So cool! my bf loves the place too! It is included in the museum pass deal, so... More

I liked this gallery due to the scale. Thought only the second floor was open there's some good pieces from Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. The building itself is worth a visit as plenty of diverse spaces for showing the work.
