This is a very famous site. The financial transactions which take place here influence the world economy. Average institutional building, with bull and bear statues representing the trends of the stock market on its square.

Fridays are the best time to visit this area because of the street market that is there. Fresh veg., meat dairy products. Loads of eateries, definitely try Hr. Quirrin's xxxl schnitzels on a bun.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange offers tours in English if you call ahead asking to join an English-speaking group. There is no charge for the tour. You should expect to show picture identification in order to enter. We booked ahead, and they carefully checked our names off the list of visitors, and noted our identification on their list.

I found the tour tremendously interesting because I am a stock trader; however, I would agree with the other reviewers that if you care nothing about how stocks are traded, then this tour won't be very exciting for you. The visit consists of a brief power point lecture followed by a visit to the gallery that overlooks the trading floor. Visitors can put their questions directly to the lecturer while in the gallery.

Although young children can attend, they would get nothing from it. It is not a kiddie event.

I did some 'homework' before I went, and was glad I did. I reviewed the EuroStoxx 50, DAX, LDAX, SDAX and other indexes that trade on this exchange.

The real attraction here is the statues of the bull and the bear in front of the building. Rubbing the bull's testicles is a tradition, to bring money.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange is one of the oldest in Europe. YOu can visit it, just one day notice before you want to go. Outside two massive sculpturs - a bull and a bear shows the strength of the Borse.

If this interests you, the Frankfurt Borse (stock exchange) can be booked by email in advance (free admission). They do tours in English but you need to bring photo ID to enter. Although understandable, the security is perhaps over the top. The actual tour was informative however in my experience and because I trade the markets, the tour guide seemed quietly angry that I knew answers to her questions. Afterward I wanted to speak with her to find more information out, however she was very short with me. although she said we could stay all day in the visitors room (after the tour), a security guard came up and was eyeballing my every move whilst I walked around the room reading the displays. Every time I moved a metre, he would also move to close of the space I had already been--it was too obvious. In this case, I found it very unprofessional especially for someone like myself who is interested in trading more instruments on the Borse. I would rate this service a 1 out of 5, otherwise the tour itself was worthwhile albeit paranoid German bureaucracy. They could use a lesson in diplomacy.

Not the place to visit if you are not into finance and/or banking. Not much was going on down on the trading floor, it was rather subdued. The major stocks of the exchange are on the floor of the visitors area on the upper floor looking down on the trading floor and they light up either green (stock up) or red (stock down) which was cool. The open street market was a treat though.

A great building and an iconic bull and bear statue directly outside. Several shops and cafe nearby.

Visited this place in the evening and it was very busy. Not sure why, but there seemed to be some kind of event. Not the most interesting building in Frankfurt.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange boasts a beautiful building in the heart of the business district of the city. It is one of the world's largest stock exchanges. The Bull and Bear statues outside provide a great photo opportunity.
