It's currently under renovation and expansion yet it didn't affect the enjoyment we got from checking out everything on display - birds, mammals, fish, dinosaurs, geological samples, fossils and the preserved bottled specimens. is very educational! We also loved the bistro in the museum.

The fossils! The bird collection! The mammals! This was hands-down the best Natural History Museum I have ever visited. The insect exhibit is in need of an update, but the ornithology collection left me dumb-founded. It just went on, and on, and on. Incredibly geographically diverse collection, and beautifully prepared. Six hours flew by without me noticing. Have been recommending... More

We visited here with our 4 children, ages 10-13. They all enjoyed it. We biked here and had a picnic lunch in the park in front of the museum. Each of my kids was able to find something that interested them here. The majority of the signage is in German but we were able to use Google Translate on our... More

We were very excited to visit this museum but was very disappointed. First to get audio guide you need to submit some ID which we were not carrying. What does the museum think people run off with audio guides?only the main dinosaur exhibit are interesting, otherwise found place very boring when you cannot read German!

I have been do a few natural history museums around the world and I have to say that by comparison this one was quite disappointing. There was a wide variety of animal displays but little information about their history and evolution etc. This aside the museum was well laid out and easy to navigate. Unfortunately most of the signs and... More

This is a very interesting museum that appeals to all ages. I took my 7 and 10 year old boys and they had a great time. We spent just a couple of hours in the museum. Our favorite section was all the different birds from all of the world (Taxidermies). The information on each bird included where these birds live.... More

Spent a Sunday afternoon at the museum. while the museum is small, there is allot of great displays. The entrance fee is €8.00 to get in, so not that bad. Great for a two hour tour, very family friendly.
