The U-Bahn entrance is shaped like a railcar, there is a library and the Goethe University. there is a Rewe is you need groceries and several quick places to shop or eat... Other than that, nothing horribly special. The U-Bahn deli has pretty good sandwiches at breakfast time.

I lived in this part of the city and is very good connected to main attractions, it is in the center and has many to offer to tourists and at the same time you feel like real Frankfurt-based. Nice Ubahn station entrance, shopping street is nearby, palmengarten nearby

I was walking from the Palmengarten to the Natural History Museum when I saw this tower. It really stands out as it is in the middle of mostly modern buildings and is from medieval times (or so it seems). It is worth a couple of minutes for a photo.

This is the U Bahn location of the Goethe University and library, KFW Development Bank formed in 1948 after World War II as part of the Marshall Plan and the U Bahn stop for the botanical gardens, "Palmengarten". here are many university students on their way to classes and "Suits" on their way to work.

We used that exit to go to Palmengarten which is a huge garden of flowers and which is so close to Bockenheimer Warte. So in that way you'll see both of them very easily !!

Don't expect a lot of the place when coming here. This said it is a very good starting point for everything from here. Just at the end of the place starts the "Leipziger Strasse", one of the boutique/family owned store shopping streets in Frankfurt, where delicious meets, wines and fruits are awaiting discovery.

We drove by here on one of the city bus tours. Even if the guide had not pointed it out, we couldn't have missed it. It looks like a train car has burst through the sidewalk!

This is one of the best photo ops in the city. A very creative entrance to the metro. Fascinating bit of building. .

Bockenheimer Warte/depot is the place where locals go for grocery shopping, haircuts, and to get their nails done. The area is served by the U4,6 and 7 and just minutes away (15 minute walk from Alt Oper) from downtown Frankfurt. There is good shopping opportunity for clothes, shoes, toys, plants, books, art supplies and so on. Leipzigstrasse is one of the... More
