Great for late bookers!

If, like me, you're prone to book everything at the last minute, then you'll find this theatre a better option than the other Cinestar in the city centre. It far less busy, so you're more likely to get good seats.

They also offer quite a selection of Turkish movies in their original language, which is rather unusual.

Conveniently, there's a Rewe supermarket just on the same site, so that's your shopping done as well.

The cinema itself is well presented and offers all the usual options, including popcorn, nachos and giant drinks.

Movie day
It's a great because it shows American movies in original version but make sure you check the listing online because it's not every day and not for every movie. It's in a great location too because there are restaurants in the same bldg as the theater, a great Indian restaurant across the street as well. Also, walking distance to the mall and other cafés and restaurants. Make sure that you get your parking chip validated when you buy your movie tickets for parking discount.

Average facilities, rude employees
May 2012 • Couples
Well, for starters, I need to be fair with regards to the employees of Cinestar in Frankfurt. The girl who sold tickets was very nice, also the girls selling sodas and pop-corn. However, one guy was very very rude, almost aggressive. But let me explain the situation.

Me and my girl were 5 mins late for the beginning of the projection. No biggie, we took the ticket anyways and rushed to the theater. As soon as we sat down, we remembered that in all the hurry we did not buy pop-corn. So, I decided to go back and take some.

The overall establishment of the moving stairs, projection rooms and other facilities of this Cinestar was somewhat confusing to me. Again, this may have been my first time here, but nevertheless, this is something which should be taken into consideration. The only way to go back to take pops was to go to the main hall, which meant exiting to the section where the tickets are being sold. I remembered that the tickets remained with my girl, so I asked the guy who was checking the tickets to go through and buy some pops. I explained that I was already inside of the projection room.

So, I bought the pop-corn, and directed myself back to the show-room. But, the guy started shouting back at me "Excuse me?!? You said you were only going for the pops. Stop!"

I have to say I felt a bit unpleasant, almost like being chased for a felony. Then the argument followed, that the tickets are inside the room at my girl's purse, so he barely decided to let me go inside and show those back to him.

I understand diligence at work, but this was a bit too much for my taste.
