Definitely worth checking out what is "on" in this theatre! The "Dreigroschenoper", a classic German piece by Bert Brecht, incredibly well performed, in the right ambience. A weekend highlight.

We went to see an opera. Not only the performance was very good, but the building of the theater is very good. Clean lines, comfortable garderobe - self-service! - very good seats. We just loved the theater.

In comparison with the Nationaltheater in Mannheim (more expensive and seating not as comfortable) or Wiesbaden (more expensive), the Darmstadt theatre is very good. Have seen very good quality performances here (opera, concerts, theatre) and would...More
