A large empty field close to the city centre and the location of the famous "Hamburger Dom" a huge fairground, which happens in spring and before Christmas - I recommend the one in Nov/December (look online for the dates) - it is great!! Basically eat until you drop - and enjoy the rides, which are a bit on the traditional/old fashioned side, but still great if you grew up with them. If you feel like classic house of mirrors, scary rides and lots of mellow rides for the children - this is the place to go.

Also located here:
Large "bunker" (bomb shelter), which has been turned into an exhibition space and artist's studios.
Home and stadium of football (soccer) club St. Pauli.

The famous Reeperbahn starts on one edge of the Heiligengeistfeld.

Here is the place where Hamburger/Winter Dom, a nice amusement park, is organized. A good place to go if you have kids. Also in this area you can find an former WW II air-raid shelter(flak it's the german name).

That's some really fun rides it was really good lots of games to play lots of rides to do I would recommend it's more for kids but a few adults. I think the knights are too expensive over pricey for me I love you the kids are okay but £5 a lot.
