If you plan a trip to Hamburg be sure to reserve at least half a day to visit this district. I recommande a harbour boat trip which goes through the warehouse district. Ask when booking your boat trip, it depends on water levels and boat...More

If you like to walk down to the city from the Reeperbahn it is possible to pass this area and there are some nice eating and coffeeplaces on a bridge over the water where its nice to relax a bit.

Just take a stroll day or night, probably a completely different perspective if you visit with a small boat

This is a an interesting area to walk through but ideally you should have a guide to explain the history. Walk through to the coffee warehouses and Persian carpet warehouses. The architecture old and new is interesting all round.

Fascinating old buildings and water ways. The place is steeped in history and is a complete contrast from central Hamburg. It is like a time warp, don't forget your camera.

Sorry, I can not remember as I did not hire that, my company did, but there are many and prices and tours are similar. There is a tourism office in the Harbor (next to the Hard Rock) were you can ask for recommendations... More

Camping Buchholz looks to be as close as you can get and that is not in the city centre, but like previous advice said, try to park outside Hamburg and use a hostel.
