Altona Hauptbahnhof is a very nice train station with a wide range of facilities, it has all Bakeries, Edeka supermarket, Lidil supermarket, Media Market for electronics, and beside station you various different shops and a small mall.

Altona HBF is easy to get around and the signage is good. There are lots of choices of places to eat while you are waiting for your train. There are also shops close by as well as a bus interchange. All in all a pleasant station with everything you need.

Nice shopping place with S1/S3 Strassebahn, our hotel is in the downtown I use U-bahn 1 then change at Jungfernstig station for the Strassebahn S1/S3 to go there, lots of nice shops there where I get my Nike shoes and H&M store there is wonderful( in Hamburg there are so many H&M shops and each of them have different offers),lots... If you go to Hamburg by train than this is the place wher you land. Very central to the city or many of the spots to visit. While the train station is historic but it does need renovation. Altona is a neighborhood district of Hamburg germany and is the place in hamburg in where many germans and tourists go for walk and shopping with many shops all kinds , the atmosphere is fantastic, there is market at the corner on the end of the main street, there are stalls selling many things, bar, restaurants. great location, mac donalds, subway, lidl chain, great connections to all subways and main trauns. 10 dollar cab fare to the fish market and numbers attractions. too many to mention
