This is defiantly one of the better bits of the Reeperbahn. There are a range of differnent activities take place during the course of the week.

It is busy but has a good vibe to it and really worth taking the time venture away from the Reeperbahn to take a look.

Great atmosphere especially on a sunny evening as it was when we visited. Beer a little pricy but good. Lts of different food stalls to chose from but we went for currywust as it was something we had to sample on our trip. It was good value for money and the fries we got with it were really tasty.

We happened to be in town for this event. Fortunately, we were staying near St. Pauli so it was a pretty easy walk. Liked how the fair was set up although a few of the more popular vendors with overflowing queues could have been placed in more strategic positions. There were plenty of vendors where beer, wine and other drinks could be had.

Located right next to the lively Reeperbahn. We were staying in a hotel 5 minutes on foot from there. I was there with my wife a sunny July's day ,we were there at 7'oclock in the afternoon, great atmosphere, very relax, very busy with locals and tourists, lots of different wooden bars to buy a drink at reasonable prices, live music and different food stalls to choose.
Worth a visit for sure.

Went there at night and suddenly a small Farmers Market popped up. Cheese, fish, veggies – that kind of stuff. When I was in this area you I originally had expect nightlife, drugs and sex workers, not this. Other than that, Spielbudenplatz is a regular square.

On sunny days right in the middle of world famous Reeperbahn one finds a place to relax, listen to life music, watch the colourfull crowd, mixed with tourists from all kind of origins, chat up girls or guys, make dates, invite for a drink. Recomendation: Pura Vida, right at the entrance right hand site (reaching from St.Pauli station) is a bar that serves fantastic - big size - cocktails from 5 Euro up. Ask Susanna (from Italy) for her Mai Tai

A friend who had a birthday was brought on stage at a strip show - we cheered him on and all thought, oh, this is going to be fun, he'll sit there and dance around a bit. Instead, the mood quickly changed. There was no question of consent, he was undressed without asking, his crotch was grabbed and the dancer sat on top of him. The security said to me "We can't get him off there, the show is already underway" and the DJ tried to put pressure on him by chanting "Come on, take off your top, we all want it!" Nobody was interested in the fact that someone on stage was being touched in a sexualized way against their will.
He then left the stage and was replaced by someone else, whose mouth the dancer spat vodka (?), among other things.
Consent does not only apply to women. Absolutely antisocial behavior that I would not have expected from an "open Christmas market". During the performance, the DJ then played several Rammstein songs. Never again.
