I have visited many churches as I'm interested in history and architecture. This one is quite unique - it has beautiful curved white woodwork everywhere.

As the subject, the church tower gives excellent city view. Pls visit in the evening so you can enjoy both day and dark views.

The tower provided a wonderful view of the city. I think it was around 5 euro and included a ticket to the crypts as well. Might as well skip the crypts, not much going on down there. We peeked in the church and it was...More

As a Lutheran, it was a main site to enjoy. Beautiful brick church, can also be viewed at Miniatur Wunderland!

It's easy to get there by subway so it's worth the visit but don't expect too much from this church. It's very simple inside compared with the outside. You can take photos inside with a trip if you want. It's polite to donate 1 Euro...More

We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon, kind of hoping to catch an evening service or hear some organ music. There are music events, but not often enough to align with our limited travel schedule. The architecture is impressive and very ornate. We hoped to...More

St. Michel's is not only a beautiful church but has an air of calmness that is helped by not being overrun by hordes of tourists. A must for any visit to Hamburg.

The church is not far away from the centre; walking distance. The church is beautiful, steps up good for training, lazy ones can take an elevator :-) View is just fantastic! Definitely recommended!

I love climbing towers, and this one had 452 steps (but a lift for those who need it), so it was with a real sense of achievement that I took in the 360 degree view at the top. We had been rightly advised by our...More

I do not know exact timing, but the service is open at 9 AM - that is when I went there. Hope that helps.
