It is ok
Jan 2020
For people like my husband and I who have already been to the "curious corner" in Mauritius, there is really not much new too see here. The location is really small. We were kinda surprised when we made the whole tour and already got to the exit. We thought it would have another floor,or that we had missed a door... but nope... it was it. But for people that like this kind of attraction and has never been to a location in this style, it is cool. The employees are really nice and prompt to take pictures of you and your fam if you want. But the one thing make me take more than just 2 "stars" was: everything has the logo on it. It could be more attractive if the sectors would have a "realistic setting atmosphere" instead of having just this blue & white walls with logos on it. It would be way more fun to make photos too. The maintenance is also a little poor. You can see in some places walls peeling or stuff like that.

Hello dear, many thanks for taking the time to rate us. Indeed we are a very interactive Museum, and everyone is welcome to be part of all installations. This is why, it is tricky to keep everything intact, and the walls get peeled very easily. The Museum is not the largest one indeed, but there are many things to discover in every corner, one should just take the time to see everything. Best wishes, Museum of Illusions Team in Hamburg

A fun activity

We spent an hour and a half here and enjoyed the exhibition. It's a fun way to challenge your brain and to experience a lot of fun and special things. Exhibition is a bit small, though.

Great fun and very friendly staff
Nov 2019
I thought the illusions started from the outside when I failed to figure out how to open the door! (There is a push plate to the right for auto opening!!).
I wondered why I was being asked if I was on my own and it is because some of the illusions are best shared. For that reason, one of the staff kept an eye on me and would appear from time to time to offer to take photos or videos so I could fully appreciate the illusions on offer.
Some can be a bit disorientating, particularly the vortex. I went through twice because I couldn't believe what it did to my perception, but I did end up a bit giddy. Others I couldn't figure out how they worked even when I was looking at them - I'm thinking in particular of the room with a slanted floor that somehow looks level and lets you grow and shrink depending on where you stand.
Great fun and I would happily return.
The site is small but there is plenty to look at and play with.

Great fun for everyone

We had a good time at the illusion museum. It was smaller than we expected, but I’m sure for families with children you could spend longer here. While it doesn’t take long to complete, it’s still great fun and fairly inexpensive at €12 for an adult. I would say this is good value. We went as a group of 3 adult friends and it’s as fun for adults as it is for children. This would make a great rainy day activity. The only negative I would say is that because you progress through in a ‘one way’ circular queue, you almost feel a bit rushed by the people behind, but I’m sure this depends how busy it is at the time. I recommend this for people of all ages.

For people who enjoys Science, Magic Tricks and Fun, this is THE PLACE. The lady at the counter is really nice and all, she even asked for Student I.D. from me. 😅😅

However your age is, Tricks and Illusions will always be fun. 👍🏻👍🏻✔✔

Small, but very nice!

This “museum” is more like an interactive playing field with many funny illusions. Not very big, you will spend less then an hour.

Quick And Fun
Jul 2019 • Family
TLDR: Small place, but fun. Almost all the tricks can be seen on photos here in TripAdvisor.

Our train got cancelled and we had to spend couple of hours near the Bahnhof with our luggage, so we decided to go and see if this place has a luggage room. They had free lockers (cabin sized luggage ok) and visit cost 30 € for a family of four (family ticket). There are free, clean toilets and free Wi-Fi.

The place is small and for adults most of the tricks are familiar. For our kids (8 and 6) they were new and exciting. Took a lot of photos. Kids were happy and want to stroll the photos over and over again. 30 euros well spent, had fun while waiting the next train. Would recommend for families and anyone wanting to have a quick, fun break.

Super sweet staff

This was a fun activity for everybody. We were 3 siblings (13, 22 & 24). The place is not the biggest but a couple of hours can be well spent here. The staff is SUPER sweet and helpful and deserve massive credit for our great experience. They are smiling and willing to help with taking pictures, answering questions and solving the cubes and models. And they don't feel too intrusive at all. Massive credit to them!
Will probably return one dag

Fun for all ages
Apr 2019 • Family
I visited this museum with my parents who are both in there 50s and we had a great time.

The illusions themselves are very interesting and thought provoking as you have to actively use your brain to master some of them. Aside from that, we got some really great pictures and had a good laugh in some of the illusions.

The staff were really friendly and helpful if you were ever stuck or needed assistance. We didn’t have to queue to go in, although sometimes you had to wait quite a while for some of the other sections to free up, though I can’t really complain about that.

There were families, kids and couples there when we arrived so it really is an activity for all ages. I think we ended up spending almost an hour in there so it’s good value for money too!

I would recommend if you have some free time when visiting and you’d like to do an activity that’s not too demanding.

Pleasant but short and somewhat expensive experience
Mar 2019 • Family
After waiting in a short queue for about 20 minutes,we entered and for the price paid,€30 for the four of us we deleted us was quite expensive considering what was offered.Don’t get me wrong, what was on offer was fun and well presented but the overall experience was about half an hour,we felt more could have been done. In conclusion I would say a pleasant fun, if somewhat short experience and a little pricey
