Great place with fantastic service. I messed up with our tickets and they were so helpful that I could not believe it! The museum itself is exciting, educational, makes some cool holiday pictures and is great fun for kids, maybe from 5 years and upwards. Would recommend and revisit anytime!

Great place, not super big, but good plan and flow. We went there early before it became too crowded which gave little waiting time for the different activities. We spend the full hour and could have spent more time there.
The overall experience was best for our oldest kid (6years).

It was quite a cool experience, great opportunity to get lots of cool pics. The staff members were more then happy to get photos of us together. Even with taking lots of photos we made it around in total 50 mins.

Was way smaller than expected and not worth the money in our opinion. What is there is good but nothing we hadn't seen before elsewhere i may have scored ot higher if we hadnt been to other sumilar attractions that where way better. Day was also spoiled by a very rude older couple who kept standing in way when people where taking photos the woman in particular was very rude. She was politely asked to move by my friend when she stopped right in front her when she was in middle of taking my photo at first we thoughy she hadnt realised but she refused to move and made a rude face to her. There is very clear signage telling you where to stand at each exhibit to prevent this. They maybe should have taken note from the number of young children who where able to understand the concept and although excited managed it. Of course this would have been avoided if there where staff around the museums exhibits keeping an eye on the adults to make sure they can follow an instruction.

For people like my husband and I who have already been to the "curious corner" in Mauritius, there is really not much new too see here. The location is really small. We were kinda surprised when we made the whole tour and already got to the exit. We thought it would have another floor,or that we had missed a door... but nope... it was it. But for people that like this kind of attraction and has never been to a location in this style, it is cool. The employees are really nice and prompt to take pictures of you and your fam if you want. But the one thing make me take more than just 2 "stars" was: everything has the logo on it. It could be more attractive if the sectors would have a "realistic setting atmosphere" instead of having just this blue & white walls with logos on it. It would be way more fun to make photos too. The maintenance is also a little poor. You can see in some places walls peeling or stuff like that.

Hello dear,
many thanks for taking the time to rate us.
Indeed we are a very interactive Museum, and everyone is welcome to be part of all installations.
This is why, it is tricky to keep everything intact, and the walls get peeled very easily.
The Museum is not the largest one indeed, but there are many things to discover in every corner, one should just take the time to see everything.
Best wishes,
Museum of Illusions Team in Hamburg

I thought the illusions started from the outside when I failed to figure out how to open the door! (There is a push plate to the right for auto opening!!).
I wondered why I was being asked if I was on my own and it is because some of the illusions are best shared. For that reason, one of the staff kept an eye on me and would appear from time to time to offer to take photos or videos so I could fully appreciate the illusions on offer.
Some can be a bit disorientating, particularly the vortex. I went through twice because I couldn't believe what it did to my perception, but I did end up a bit giddy. Others I couldn't figure out how they worked even when I was looking at them - I'm thinking in particular of the room with a slanted floor that somehow looks level and lets you grow and shrink depending on where you stand.
Great fun and I would happily return.
The site is small but there is plenty to look at and play with.

I visited this museum with my parents who are both in there 50s and we had a great time.
The illusions themselves are very interesting and thought provoking as you have to actively use your brain to master some of them. Aside from that, we got some really great pictures and had a good laugh in some of the illusions.
The staff were really friendly and helpful if you were ever stuck or needed assistance. We didn’t have to queue to go in, although sometimes you had to wait quite a while for some of the other sections to free up, though I can’t really complain about that.
There were families, kids and couples there when we arrived so it really is an activity for all ages. I think we ended up spending almost an hour in there so it’s good value for money too!
I would recommend if you have some free time when visiting and you’d like to do an activity that’s not too demanding.

After waiting in a short queue for about 20 minutes,we entered and for the price paid,€30 for the four of us we deleted us was quite expensive considering what was offered.Don’t get me wrong, what was on offer was fun and well presented but the overall experience was about half an hour,we felt more could have been done. In conclusion I would say a pleasant fun, if somewhat short experience and a little pricey

We spent an hour and a half here and enjoyed the exhibition. It's a fun way to challenge your brain and to experience a lot of fun and special things. Exhibition is a bit small, though.

Is there a place for carry on sized luggage? Our train got cancelled so we’d had time, but it would be more fun without luggage.

And yes there is, for free and no coins needed. Quite narrow lockers, though, so no big bags. Cabin sized fits.
