While visiting Berlin, I decided to make a day trip to Potsdam as one of my friends recommended the excursion. I was blown away by the history and the architecture. Not one to stare at gates but definitely did so at the Nauen Gate.

We entered here, to see the excellent shopping street, and the Dutch Quarter. So much to see and plenty of places to eat. On Close inspection, this does look a bit "Disney", As it is cement rendered, So no visible stonework.

Spent the afternoon on a rented bike, short on time, hitting as many photo opportunities as I could. This gate is gorgeous. Did not have the opportunity to go inside.

Potsdam has several gates to the town; you may want to collect them all on your smart phone camera or simply drive by and ooh and aah. Nice place to visit, charming at every turn.
