Beautiful church in the castle garden, with water partly around it. Rather plain, but still worth seeing. Don't walk past it if you're strolling in the castle park. A short stop is definitely worth it.

This may be my favourite church building. At the entrance to Sanssouci garden you can't miss it. Friedrich Wilhelm IV had it built in the mid 19th cenury, copying medieval Italian church architecture. On the inside you will find a huge Venecian mosaic from the 13th century, which the king bought as a prince and had it shipped to Potsdam. The coffered ceiling displays golden stars on a blue background. The church isn't very big, and yet very impressive. Additionally, Friedrich Wilhelm IV and his wife are buried in the royal crypt of the church. Just outside of the church, in a mausoleum you can find the tombs of Kaiser Friedrich III, his wife Queen Vicy (daughter of Queen Victoria) as well as the Soldier King. Unfortunately, the mausoleum isn't usually open to the public.
If you visit Potsdam and Sanssouci, do not miss out on that church.

I have read that the design of this church was based on the early Roman church of San Clemente. After walking a lot on the day of our visi we found the church really peacful and relaxing. The courtyard with its statues was very interesting. Of course the mosaic is something to see

Closed on Sundays, so could not see either the interior or the mausoleums.
The purpose of the Peace Pond (Friedensteich) other than as an extension of the gardens of Sans Souci remains a mystery.

This is a Protestand church in the Park Sanssouci, City bus reach the east edge of the park, walk several minutes to get there. When we went there, the church is under renovation, only can view the exterior.

Also known as the Church of Peace, this Protestant church is small but stunning. A 13th century mosaic, purchased by Frederick William and brought to Potsdam from a dilapidated church on the island of Murano in Venice, Italy, is above the apse and adorns the interior of the church. The campanile is a noticeable landmark in Sanssouci Park so be sure to head that way in order not to miss this peaceful place.

Big church at the south-east corner of Sanssouci Park. There was some sort of religious celebration inside, so we didn't have a chance to look at the interior, the Kaiser Friedrich Mausoleum was also closed, so we missed on all the interiors... But the setting of the church, and it's appearance over ponds, with high romanesque tower are worth a visit anyway, if only for the lovely pictures. Especially when the shortest path between Sanssouci Palace and Potsdam downtown leads through church's grounds.

This was the first church I passed by after entering the Sanssouci park and it is surrounded by a large pond.
One can walk around the complex as there are stautes and other beautiful architecture around the building. Within the church, It is mostly seating on wooden chairs. The inner sides are arched with marble pillars and the outer walls are wood. There is a crypt in the basement, but one is not able to view much of tombs. The churchs' reflections off the pond are very beautiful.

This is a very photogenic church, set next to a lake for maximum effect. I couldn't see any English information so I'm not sure of the history but it was lovely and peaceful to walk around although it was obviously a relatively modern (19th century?) building. Free to enter and set in lovely parkland.

A lovely nineteenth-century Italianate church almost hidden inside the gate of Sanssouci Park. The highlight is the preserved 13th century mosaic from Venice.
The free organ concert was just the icing on the cake!
