Spent most of the day in and out of historical buildings, at the park and gardens. Just so much to cover in a day. The fountain and gardens were very well maintained and beautiful. Definitely a must see while in Potsdam.

Spent a full day in Potsdam which is the minimum to do it justice, so much to see, will be going back for a long weekend. Sans souci Palace is the highlight.

Potsdam big draw are its vast parks and gardens and the palaces. The biggest of which is the Sanssouci Park. It is pretty huge but there are ample bike paths that allow you to cycle through its vast grounds to the various attractions within. If I had to walk through the park, I would have died. In fact, even on... More

Very calming area, beautiful gardens with the yellow palace in the background. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants to get away from the city and enjoys nature, you could spend hours here and not realise!

These gardens are huge, with lots of cycle paths to and around them, so best hire a bike. You can get the bikes right at the train station. Unfortunately you can't ride right up to some of the amazing buildings, but there are racks at points to lock your bikes up to while you get a bit closer. Great day... More

We walked through the park in the early morning. It was beautifully quiet. Only a few joggers and us.

These are easily reached to/from Sansoucci Park. Both of which are lovely to walk around and explore. So many pretty gardens, structures, and just quiet... peace.

The Potsdam gardens are the setting for many of the other attractions of historic Potsdam. Entry is free and it would take a good 3-4 energetic hours to traverse its main pedestrian axis pathways and its many meandering byways.
