Beautiful English-style garden (Capability Brown could have been here) sprinkled with interesting buildings in addition to Sans Souci palace: the Neues Palais (New Palace), Old Fritz's picture gallery, the Orangerie, Charlottenhof palace, the Roman Baths and the Chinese Tea-House, not to mention garden statuary everywhere. You can get a day pass to all of them. My 1996 edition of the... More

Lovely gardens for a stroll when the weather is good. You can see many of the palaces from here too. Worth a visit.

A very large park with historical buildings and features in. Opulence of the past on offer to see. Well sign posted with the occasional café/bar for a rest of your tired aching feet. Don`t forget to visit the windmill.

You can see all the grand palaces from here, such an amazing walk in an amazing park. So amazing to think that all these palaces were owned by rich foreigners and they cam together here.

Spent most of the day in and out of historical buildings, at the park and gardens. Just so much to cover in a day. The fountain and gardens were very well maintained and beautiful. Definitely a must see while in Potsdam.

Spent a full day in Potsdam which is the minimum to do it justice, so much to see, will be going back for a long weekend. Sans souci Palace is the highlight.

Potsdam big draw are its vast parks and gardens and the palaces. The biggest of which is the Sanssouci Park. It is pretty huge but there are ample bike paths that allow you to cycle through its vast grounds to the various attractions within. If I had to walk through the park, I would have died. In fact, even on... More

Very calming area, beautiful gardens with the yellow palace in the background. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants to get away from the city and enjoys nature, you could spend hours here and not realise!

These gardens are huge, with lots of cycle paths to and around them, so best hire a bike. You can get the bikes right at the train station. Unfortunately you can't ride right up to some of the amazing buildings, but there are racks at points to lock your bikes up to while you get a bit closer. Great day... More
