It is pretty over-the-top from the outside; I do recommend you at least see that. If you have purchased the day pass, you might as well pop in and take a quick look around the inside. There isn't much to it and you'll probably be...More

The greater park is a vast expanse to explore. I call it a vast expanse as I had to cycle really far from one point to another and I'm still considered within Sanssouci Park. Plenty of sites within the park itself, including this one which...More

Opulent and exotic and mostly a European /Prussian interpretation of what Chinese was in the 18th century, but not to be missed for its sheer opulency

The Chinese House is part of the Sanssouci Palace garden and it looks really beautiful. You can also check it out from inside by paying a minimal entrance fee. Its interesting how the Prussian Czar's were fascinated by China.

This is a relatively small circular building within Park Sanssouci. It is thoroughly guilded in gold making it look somewhat gaudy. Quick photo stop if passing by this part of the park.

This was truly unique and beautiful. I loved the the Chinese theme and the shape of the Chinese House somewhat resembled a pagoda. If you visit the Sanssouci Palace, you should not miss this little gem that is very quick to walk through.

The Chinese House or Tea House is part of the Sansoucci Palace Park complex. It takes a good walk to get there and the place really is not that big but the circular shape and the paintings in the interior makes it interesting. Again there...More

Well worth visiting whilst in the Park. A beautiful building in a nice garden setting. Look out for all the little bits.

It was shut in winters so we could only see it from outside. The architecture was rich. Would love to see form inside in summers.
