- Lukas B1 contributionSemiFor the shows, sets, price-performance ratio...an ambitious project. If you are primarily interested in horror shows and cinema you will be disappointed, or would rather go straight to the horror nights. It's a disgrace that no times are displayed and after visiting several times no one emerges from the submarine except for this lady who looks like she was implanted in from a sci-fi film. Very scary!! Perhaps someone was ill???? ...I recommend asking!! The shows are impressive live performances though and make up for the price. However! The Triton is a flop, there is no one there...I was expecting action there too... and no sign indicating anything, and the action cinema is only open 10am 1pm 2pm 3.15pm, the website says every 15 minutes, and then there is alternately Ready Player for adults and Mogli for children. It would have been expected that the cinematic faces of the city of Potsdam would be hanging there too, as they are shown on the plan, instead of this silly carpet. There was also an unnecessary barrier in front of the Muck backdrop, it was not clear what it was for??? I liked what I saw, shows for €23... Museums are subsidized, which is why the entrance fee seems relatively high. Out of respect for the actors, all the stars, then sometimes the staff stand around a bit lost, who could have taken care of the action cinema... the park itself is very ambitious... Anyone who needs or wants to can see a lot in 2-3 hours, or just stay longer...Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 21, 2024
- Pargivaht K2 contributionsNo longer recommended.I was there 3 times today. The number of visitors was manageable. It's a disgrace that the ticket per person is €6 more expensive on site than online. 2 adults and 1 child + brochure cost €81.50 Parking ticket with only savings slip at the cash desk cost €6 Western setting without words, extremely shrunken and listless. Was much better the last 2 times. Outdoor sets e.g. from GZSZ and others can no longer be viewed. Shows with a small child are excessively loud. I've had much better food for a similar price. Even canteen food is better. The only things that were best were the playground and boating in Panama.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 27, 2024
- Bernd K1 contributionNot recommended!Total maw. The concept is outdated, everything is slightly bacon and worn. The attractions are weak and mostly listless. There is rather little coverage of the films, production facilities are not at all, scenery and costumes are hardly visible. This is particularly regrettable in view of the UfA's great time. The entrance fee is way too high! Too bad, not recommended!Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 27, 2024
- Alexa B1 contributionI already had fun, but in the end there was a big disappointmentI was in the park for the third time, the last time was 12 years ago. Many great things, such as the GZSZ outer set are unfortunately no longer there. Nothing is shot anymore and how films are made is not shown (anymore). In my opinion, it is not a movie park, but rather a theme park with movie props. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun, the 4D action cinema was great, I really liked the hour show. I wonder how some people manage the park, as written here in part, in 2 hours. I was there at noon and I didn't make it all by 5:00. The price-management ratio is right when compared to other theme parks or a visit to the fair. There were not long waits, it was pleasantly manageable from the people. Nevertheless, in the end I went home disappointed, as the new attraction "Curse of the Triton" , which I wanted to visit so badly, closes already an hour before the end. Why? Do you walk through it for over an hour? The park was supposed to close at 5pm, I was annoyingly there shortly after 4pm. On the homepage all attractions are presented and I have informed myself in advance about the park. Not a word was read that the Triton is already closing an hour before the park closes. I don't think it's possible for that to happen. Therefore only 3 stars, since I missed the best unfortunately :(Visited August 2024Traveled soloWritten August 28, 2024
- Anon A1 contributionJust don't, save yourself the money.Extremely disappointing! Do not waste your money. I luckily went on a nice day which meant I was able to see the stunt show, but that was honestly the only highlight of the park but there is just literally nothing to do other than this. I no joke could have done the whole thing including the shows within an hour. There is wayyy too big of a kids park, which I guess is good if you have kids. The 4D and XD cinema things are only 5minutes long and nothing special. The boat ride was cute, but kind of weird when two of the animals are pissing, one even looks like he's jacking off and even squirts water at you when doing so (yes you read correctly). The warehouse guided tour; I was expecting to see tons of up close props, weapons, costumes from big film names etc all laid out with pictures and presented well where you could spend your time looking and reading about them but nope. A couple of props at best but I only knew of one and two massive printed pictures in one room with a discussion about them that honestly could have been talked about in 1 min not 10. The cowboy section was a few buildings with one window to look through and you can only go in 1. The pictures section is just crap and honestly that was it, oh and there's about 50 of the same cafes within like 2m of each other (overexaggerated but when you spot them all, you end up being really mind blown at the stupidity of how many there are). Overall, just save your money. If it wasn't for the stunt shows I would give 1 star.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 25, 2024

This was our first visit to the film park and thanks to the off-season there weren't that many tourists around... we were able to look at everything in peace and enjoy the stunt show. You should definitely plan half a day for the visit. The prices in the park itself are reasonable.
I thought the entrance fee of €29 per person was a bit steep but hey, fun costs money.

Apart from the stunt show, there was not much action. It was nice to see the sets from Jim Knopf on a short tour, and there are also "The Neverending Story", "Monument Men", "Sandmännchen" and the trailer from "Peter Lustig" scattered around the park. Childhood memories :-) That was pretty much it. The only restaurant was closed that day, and the rest of the catering was rather poor. Maybe I should have done more research beforehand or not set my expectations so high, but anyone who has been to Universal Studios before will be disappointed. The entrance fee is OK though.

I'm really in two minds about this park. On the one hand, I really want to support parks like these - especially because it is so rich in history.
On the other hand, we paid almost twenty euro per person today for a park where almost all indoor attractions were closed, shows were cancelled due to weather and there was nowhere warm inside to sit and eat. I really understand why it isn't safe to open some of the attractions, but that leaves very little to see (and maybe a special corona price would be a better idea - and informing people beforehand).
Other than that, I was a bit disappointed about how little this park has to do with German movie history. I would have loved to see and know more and less of the generic cowboy/shooting/violence. Also, the boat ride is kind of creepy.

Our visit in a small group was very disappointing. As is often written here: the few "attractions" are outdated and lame, the western show is cheap and poorly done. The playgrounds and the boat ride are theoretically nice for small children - but you can get that at many other places MUCH cheaper.
To be clear: the park does not offer a visit to the current film studios! It is just next to them and takes up the film theme - but the respective sets are then, for example, completely simply stuck together and combined with courage slides, shops and a sauerkraut restaurant.

A scam is the most precise description of this park. Am not exaggerating.
The park is merely a small theme park themed around the history of the Babelsberg film studios. It is not the actual studios and doesn’t even offer a tour of the neighboring legendary Babelsberg studios or backlots. The park unashamedly exploits the brand of the Babelberg Studios but offers merely a few run-of-the-mill rides, shows, and themed areas. Tickets are of course priced in the expensive range. Personally, I wouldn’t go even it was free of charge.
The food is naturally also the lowest quality fast food you can find, it’s basically uneatable, and of course also sold at very premium prices. The park’s ethos is clearly that when first you’ve scammed the audience to pay the entrance fee then scam them some more.
The horrid experience can be summed up by the park’s “Caligari” house. The outside of the building gives promise of experiencing German cinematic expressionism. Go inside and it’s fundamentally a warehouse where they stuffed in a handful of cheap cinematic merchandise completely unrelated to anything. Here you’ll find on display a cheap figurine of Indiana Jones, a copy of Alien’s head etc. The kind of stuff you can buy on Amazon for a few hundred bucks a piece.
Don’t go until this place is run professionally.

If you're on vacation, you might not be so careful with money, and a family ticket of just under €20 per person is perfectly acceptable. But you won't get back the time you spend in the park being disappointed.
Unfriendly park staff and unusual attractions that are only announced after you get to the pay barrier. You don't get a glimpse of the real behind-the-scenes of the studios, except on a guided tour that stops taking anyone after exactly 25 people and is only offered again 1 hour and 45 minutes later. The facility isn't lovingly maintained either, everything is a bit shabby. The children were also disappointed.

I am very disappointed with my visit! I came here expecting to see film studio’s, tours, many props and costumes from different movies but was brutally disappointed. Sure, the corona virus has played a part in the performance of the movie park but they could have made more of an effort! The only thing that was open was the German ‘sandmännchen’ museum, a museum with props and costumes, a few movie backgrounds and there was a movie set tour which had a super long line and only took 30 people at a time. There were also a few attractions for children that were open! These attractions were all very fun and intriguing however I couldn’t go on the set tour which I had most looked forward to since they only took 30 people at a time. I am never coming back. I came here expecting to spend at least 3-4 hours there but it turns out I saw the whole park in 45 minutes. We came as a family of three, however there were families that were way larger than ours that must have spent a fortune on the tickets for basically nothing. And on top of that there was a €4 parking fee which could only be payed cash (no pin). I’m so disappointed!

Unfortunately, a visit to this facility is not worth a cent. We were very disappointed as we were actually expecting something about the making of films and background information. What we were offered were carelessly arranged figures made partly from styrofoam or plastic. In the studios' image film, the stars lament the great location in Babelsberg for producing films. That raised hopes. There was only Santa Claus and Jim Button, which might be nice for children, but that was it. There was no sign of any of the international productions. Only the tour was somewhat bearable thanks to a friendly and committed member of staff. But here too, apart from a few fairy tale props, nothing. The outdoor area is more than unattractive. We only saw the stunt show, which could be better. It was a bit like a Punch and Judy show - it began with the question of whether everyone was there yet! We will certainly never go back.

I can only agree with the bad reviews. Ageing and in bad shape. Waiting times are very annoying. Outside the 4D cinema a queue. Queue and wait. In spurts, as the seats are to be filled, continues. Then finally inside a queue three times as long. Without ventilation in the dark tunnel. Several people, including us, turned around as there was simply no air left. Many have queued with small children. Outside it says only from 1 m height Nobody pointed it out outside. Just a very small sign.
All in all, just disappointing.

Oh, my God, what a great trip that was! With my 4 children, it is not easy to find something that everyone enjoys at the same time and does not implode my brain. The day in Babelsberg was PERFECT. The shows are perfectly located and scheduled so you can enjoy all without stress, the few rides are great for the children and bearable for me. There is historical knowledge that mine was supplemented and very unobtrusive for the children to ignore. In addition, we were able to reminisce together about family memories of watched movie stars - Dandelion, Jim Button etc. Interactive actions have also introduced the way films are made. It was great.
