We had read much about how this was a fantastic palace. We were unimpressed. Don’t get me wrong it is fantastic but we went to the New palace if you only can afford time for one pick the New palace it was much more interesting....More

We had booked a start time of 15.50 for our tour and this seems to have been the last one of the day because, as we wandered through the rooms listening to our audioguides, a steward was following close on our heels, almost shooing us...More

Astonishing architectural spot created by an extraordinary mind of the Fredrick the Great. It is so rare that you see a king and leader with great taste of art such as Sanssouci Palace. My favourite place in Berlin!

Lots to discover and learn, but be prepared for some serious walking if you want to see it all - including Sans Souci, the gardens, and the New Palace. Exploring the grounds can take several hours. But it's definitely worth it.

The palace was amazing and worth the visit but the downside was the average friendliness of staff and after paying 21 euro each for a palace tour they then wanted us to pay to take a photo in one of the rooms. As I said...More

Even if you're only in Berlin for a few days, consider riding local transit (train or S7 with an ABC ticket) to visit this charming city barely an hour away. The palace and its grounds are charming and the market is fun. Bring your money...More

I think it’s a main attraction in Potsdam. Didn’t get inside, because you must wait 2 hours for your time. To me it was far too long...

It has taken over 5 decades, but I finally made it to Sansoucci. The tour bus picked passengers up at the Hotel Westin Grand, and took them directly to palace with out the hassle of trains and taxis. German guide whisked us through palace with...More

The Park is open from 08:00 until dusk but the buildings are closed Monday. I'm not sure where the steps you refer to are but if outside you can see them on Monday.
