This tour company advertises a hop on hop off tour but only stops at 3 places for 20 to 30 minutes each. The map on the brochure shows 26 places but the bus only goes past these, you cannot get on and off as you please like normal hop on hop off buses. Our ticket showed 1.5 hours confirmed verbally... Great 2.5 hour journey through the main sights of Potsdam. Really well worth the time and money. Although a native English speaker, I've lived in Germany for 20 years, so did not need the English commentary, so I can't speak for those reviewers who had a bad experience trying to listen to the tour through English only. What I can... More

This three hour bus trip with guide was in German and English. We hopped off at three major sites and got a short but very informative tour at each. This was in addition to commentary from the bus. Our guide Yorta was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and helped us understand the history politics and architecture etc. As well as... More

Took this tour after hearing it would take a long time to walk to Sanssouci park so we boarded this bus for only €15 thanks to the Welcome to Berlin ticket. It stops at 4 locations, Neues Palais, Schloss Sanssouci and Hollandisches Viertel. You get at 20 minutes to have a look at each site apart from the last one... More

We had the worst experience possible. They advertised and sold the tour as an english/german-speaking tour... NO ENGLISH IS SPOKEN DURING THE ENTIRE TOUR! We had to read from wikipedia in order to make the most out of the "tour"; we couldn't even communicate with the tour guide nor the bus driver! BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T SPEAK ANY ENGLISH AT ALL!!... Potsdam is famous for two reasons: one is that it was the home and the retreat of the various Kings and Emperors who ruled Prussia and Germany. Frederick the Great’s palace of Sanssoucci and his grave are here for example. Secondly another palace in Potsdam was the site of the last of the war time conferences of the Allies during... More

Agree with a lot of the previous posts here; this tour is sold as appropriate for English or German speaking tourists, but unfortunately the tour is really only for German speaking visitors The guide speaks in German on the bus, and English tourists listen through headphones. This would usually be ok, but it was difficult to concentrate/understand the commentary when... More

We were solicited at the Potsdam main station by a very nice , convincing gentleman to go on the tour which was supposed to be done in German and English in a bobble decker bus , as in Berlin tours. After paying and rushing to make the 12 noon tour we encountered that we had to stay in the very... More

The tour was sold to us when arriving on the train station and seemed like a good idea................But that proved to be a disappointment. Though it advertises 'live' English commentary, the guide mainly gave long explanations in German, and at the start a very brief English version, but he completely stopped this when some passengers complained. The English version on... More

Enjoyable two and a half tour of the main three schloss of the city, the tour guide commented mostly in German but kept changing to English to keep non German speakers informed. There is also other languages on a headset available. Although the tour started from the main rail station, it terminated in the town centre to allow customers to... More
