This is a beautiful cathedral typical of a North German city. However if this magnificent cathedral was in a city like Paris it would be world famous, on of the worlds most highly underrated cathedrals, definite stop for a person who loves architecture!

Amidst the hustle and bustle of December Christmas markets, it was actually a quiet sanctuary to enjoy, Christmas carols and bells rang out, but so peaceful within,

This striking St Petri Dom dominates the market square, but the impressive exterior is not quite matched up by the interior. Tthe crypts downstairs however and certainly the museum at the back of the church are worth a visit. The museum has old bishop graves and a lot of religious art. Note that the information in the musuem is only... More

We just saw this from the outside as there appeared to be some kind of police parade on and it was closed for the afternoon. However, it was still beautiful and well worth seeing!

I have been a number of times on visits to Bremen. There is always something to see and it is a beautiful serene building. It is a wonderful place to collect your thoughts after a busy day or to have a look at Bremen's long history.

During my rainy day tour of the city I walked in here and was captured by the beautiful organ playing that afternoon. Very captivating, went straight in to my heart. Nice thing to know (I didn't, but found out while inside): the East Catacomb is a quiet room. It is really good to reset oneself once in a while and... More

That was an amazing experience to see such a monumental and historical building. It's completely renovated and looks beautiful inside.

We stopped over on our way to Berlin. Enjoyed one of the typical "weinachtsmarkt" where there were food stalls with typical German food and off course Gluhwein! Known for the 'musicians of bremen' folklore.
