The fun thing is to go in search of the famous musicians statue which is a little hidden.

I went for an evening stroll looking for a place to eat and made sure I stopped by the Markplatz. This Markplatz was full of stalls selling everything from candy to beer. It is surrounded by the Ratzkeller and several other classical buildings. Stop by for a cold beer or a glass wine, chat with the locals and take in the atmosphere.

Bremen's market square is beautiful. It has been carefully restored and beautifully decorated and is still in use. The surrounding houses and historic buildings make this square a "must see" when visiting Bremen.

The Marktplatz in Bremen is a happening place. The time I visited, there was a festival going on. It was full of rides, drinks, and delicious food. Unfortunately, the festivals are in all photos of the Rathaus but I guess it adds character to the photos. The town square is beautiful though with the Rathaus and Cathedral.

We sat and enjoyed a drink in the old market square. Although a local busker was playing Christmas songs (in July!) it was a lovely place to be.

I really love the christmas market located at Marktplatz. There is a unique charm to the christmas market here. It did not give the feeling of being commercial. In fact, it felt magical just by standing in Markplatz looking at the many surrounding beautiful buildings located in Markplatz. This is a must do for any traveller visiting Bremen during in the Winter season.

We sat and enjoyed a lovely dinner and people watched. It was considerably busier this year and thankfully no musician playing Christmas carols.

It's a square in old Town. Nothing special, but if something interesting is to happen, will probably be there. Go there, but avoid cafes and restaurants in the area, as they're mostly overpriced tourist traps.

Years of livng here, the Bremer Marktplatz (Market Square) still fascinates me till today. Take a rest, have a cup of coffee and enjoy local cakes and pastries in one of the many cafes at the square. Immerse in the surrounding (heritage buidings, architecture) which goes back centuries.
