If the church looked as beautiful as the small part of the former church that remained from the bombing, a lot of art has been lost. The ceiling painting is especially beautiful. The new church built next to it is an oasis of peace thanks to the countless blue tiles that form the walls.

Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche is a true masterpiece that beautifully illustrates how fantastic the original church from 1895 has been and the impressive restoration that was done after the bombing during Second World War. Take your the time to see both the old and the new church.

Left, strengthened and showcased to illustrate the madness of the war. Impressive work, obligatory part of a city walk.

This church was bombed in WWII. So this war is still very close when you look at this church. The entrance is free. They builded a new part next to it.

Unfortunately the old tower was closed so we only saw the "new" church. It really is quite strange with all the blue mosaic and a golden Jesus in the center. The church organ is elevated on a platform which adds a dramatic look.
There's no entrance fee and its in the center of Kurfürstendamm so don't miss this one while you are there anyway.

The wrong photos are constantly being uploaded here and the reviews always talk about the wrong church!
This is the Kaiser Friedrich Memorial Church and not the "Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church".
There is no ruin here!
