The Deutscher Dom is an impressive building which faces the Franzosischer Dom across the Gendarmenmarkt. The Deutscher Dom was built in the early 1800s as a church. The Dom was added later. The building was destroyed during WWII and not rebuilt until the 1980s. Today...More

Although this is still called the Deutscher Dom it isn't actually a church, unlike the similar looking building at the other end of the square. Inside here is an exhibition of the German Budestag. The exterior is more impressive than the interior, but there's no...More

I visited the Deutscher Dom (German Cathedral) at Gendarmenmarkt during my visit to Berlin in August 2018 and early September 2018. There is an excellent and free exhibition on the history of democracy and the Bundestag (parliament) in Germany. The exhibit is well organized and...More

The Deutscher dom faces the tower of the French Dom, almost identical. Pretty building from the outside but it was locked and we could not get in.

This is a decent church, located in the central Gendarmen square. The church's exterior is far more impressive than its interiors. Having said that, it's still worth a 5-minute visit.

Beautiful building located at the Gendarmenmarkt square in the heart of Berlin. You can relax in one of the many cafes after your visit.

Really interesting building that you really should visit at least just from outside to appreciate its beautiful exteriors and the square in which it is located.

Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
