About
Greetings! My name is Eyal Roth and I'm a tour guide in Berlin with over six years of experience. My focus is the Jewish heritage tour of Berlin. A tour that focuses on the Jewish community of Berlin from early settlement to the Second World War. The Jewish tour is a great way to gain insight into what is a complex and loaded story. The Jewish tour can take a few forms depending on your specific interests and the time you have in the city. In addition I also offer other exciting walking tours of the city. The Tours are private tours that can be made to fit your needs and interests.

Eyal began teaching as soon as we met. Every minute of the two days of 4 to 5 hours each were well-spent and perfectly planned. Eyal was throughly knowledgeable, able to answer all of my questions (anticipating most), and not just about Jewish history but German history as well. I have been on many Jewish tours in Europe and Eyal was as good as any I've ever had. I unconditionally recommend him if you are going to tour Berlin!

Eyal was an incredible guide! He toured our family of 4 and crafted it so that we all had the experience we wanted. Eyal was also very accommodating - more than I’ve experienced from a tour guide before. Our flight was cancelled, visit shortened, and he adjusted his schedule to ensure we were still able to have a great experience. His knowledge is superb, English is perfect, and he is so friendly . We learned so much, he answered all of our questions thoughtfully and even has a binder with pictures! His recommendations for restaurants were also exceptional. We could not think of a way we would have improved the visit. He is truly exceptional and made our time in Berlin incredibly meaningful. We hope to go back and have him guide us again!

My family of three generations, including our two middle school aged children, had a wonderul 3-hour walking tour of Berlin Mitte with Eyal. An absolute pleasure. Eyal is extremely knowledgeable and personable. He taught us a lot about Jewish experiences in Berlin over the past couple of centuries. The tour was very engaging, accompanying the various areas of interest amongst us.

I would highly recommend a tour with Eyal when visiting Berlin and wanting to learn more about Jewish history in Berlin.

If you are in Berlin and want fabulous guide for a Jewish Heritage Tour, call Eyal Roth. I was with a secular group touring Central Europe, and Berlin was the first stop. I wanted more Jewish sites than the tour provided, contacted Eyal and after a couple of emails, he suggested an itinerary that was perfect. I was traveling alone. He met me at my hotel and we spent 4 hours together. I highly recommend Eyal.

A fantastic Berlin Jewish Tour. Eyal was a fantastic tour guide--informative, casual, personable, fun and incredibly knowledgable. It would be impossible to see the real old Jewish Berlin without a tour guide. We had been down some of the same streets the day before and walked right past them unknowingly. Eyal really knows his stuff.
I highly recommend him!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3-hour tour with Eyal. He was prompt, efficient, extremely knowledgeable and flexible. While we generally do not use guides, we would not have taken away as much as we did about Jewish Berlin and many other fascinating historical insights that he provided. We would highly recommend Eyal to others.

I booked a 2 hour private tour with Eyal and it was just too short – Eyal is so delightful and knowledgable. I had oodles of questions along our tour and he eloquently shared his insights. I really didn't want the tour to end and we extended the tour for another hour. Next time I'm booking a 4 hour walking tour to see and hear even more! I really appreciated Eyal's perspective and was happy to hear more about his own family history. Eyal gets an "A+" and all the "thumbs up". Book him for your next trip to Berlin!

We traveled to Berlin, a couple with our 9 year old daughter, and following warm recommendations, booked two guided tour days with Eyal Roth.
We planned with Eyal two days of tours including the story of Berlin, visiting the main focus interests the city has to offer, the story of Berlin's Jews while touring the Bavarian Quarter and Platform 17, the story of the Cold War while visiting the Berlin Wall Memorial and the East Side Gallery. We also visited "Alternative Berlin": following the street art and the deserted factories.
Eyal featured a relevant story to each spot, including an historic background, spicing it up with personal stories of the people of that time.
The tours were deep, fascinating, fluent and accessible.
Every stone, tile or monuments (which Berlin is abound with) received a special meaning and turned Berlin's fascinating history into a vivid story. Eyal is a knowledgeable gifted storyteller, every question received a detailed answer.
Eyal has also very sensitively made the difficult stories accessible to our 9 year old daughter.
To our request, a 5 hour daily tour was extended to 6 hours.
Berlin is a fascinating city and the two days we spent with Eyal were without a doubt the highlight of the trip.

We came to Berlin specifically to engage the Holocaust history. Some friends were referred to Eyal Roth and inviited us to join them and a walking-public transit tour with him. We spent 5 hours together. It was remarkable ... a clear and coherent on-site narrative that was vivid, enlightening and sobering and that reflected and refracted the Holocaust here in ways that were new, insighful and meaningful to us. We were extremely lucky to have Mr. Roth take us through this history. We would recommend hkim in the strongest possible terms.

Last week we enjoyed two separate tours with Eyal. The first tour was a General Overview tour of the city of Berlin and the second tour was a Jewish tour of Berlin. We found Eyal to be a delightful, pleasant, and informative gentleman. We had a few special requests and he adjusted his tour and accommodated or desires, perfectly. He also did a terrific job at coordinating our tours and presented the information, along with the sites that we visited in a chronological and meaningful manner that helped us keep track of the various courses of events from both a German and Jewish perspective. When we completed the tours, we felt that Eyal had really expanded our education, understanding, and appreciation for the history of Germany and our own Jewish heritage. I would highly recommend Eyal's tours-they were among the highlights of our trip.
