About
Greetings! My name is Eyal Roth and I'm a tour guide in Berlin with over six years of experience. My focus is the Jewish heritage tour of Berlin. A tour that focuses on the Jewish community of Berlin from early settlement to the Second World War. The Jewish tour is a great way to gain insight into what is a complex and loaded story. The Jewish tour can take a few forms depending on your specific interests and the time you have in the city. In addition I also offer other exciting walking tours of the city. The Tours are private tours that can be made to fit your needs and interests.

Eyal began teaching as soon as we met. Every minute of the two days of 4 to 5 hours each were well-spent and perfectly planned. Eyal was throughly knowledgeable, able to answer all of my questions (anticipating most), and not just about Jewish history but German history as well. I have been on many Jewish tours in Europe and Eyal was as good as any I've ever had. I unconditionally recommend him if you are going to tour Berlin!

Eyal was an incredible guide! He toured our family of 4 and crafted it so that we all had the experience we wanted. Eyal was also very accommodating - more than I’ve experienced from a tour guide before. Our flight was cancelled, visit shortened, and he adjusted his schedule to ensure we were still able to have a great experience. His knowledge is superb, English is perfect, and he is so friendly . We learned so much, he answered all of our questions thoughtfully and even has a binder with pictures! His recommendations for restaurants were also exceptional. We could not think of a way we would have improved the visit. He is truly exceptional and made our time in Berlin incredibly meaningful. We hope to go back and have him guide us again!

My family of three generations, including our two middle school aged children, had a wonderul 3-hour walking tour of Berlin Mitte with Eyal. An absolute pleasure. Eyal is extremely knowledgeable and personable. He taught us a lot about Jewish experiences in Berlin over the past couple of centuries. The tour was very engaging, accompanying the various areas of interest amongst us.
I would highly recommend a tour with Eyal when visiting Berlin and wanting to learn more about Jewish history in Berlin.

This was a very important part of my family's trip to Berlin. My husband (who is not Jewish) and I were traveling with our adult children. I wanted to have an experience that would bring our Jewish history alive for all of us. We booked a private 4 hour tour with Eyal. Eyal was incredibly knowledgeable and articulate--he told many stories and took us places that made this history feel very "experience-near" and intimate. It was deeply meaningful. I am so glad we got to do this with Eyal.

If you are in Berlin and want fabulous guide for a Jewish Heritage Tour, call Eyal Roth. I was with a secular group touring Central Europe, and Berlin was the first stop. I wanted more Jewish sites than the tour provided, contacted Eyal and after a couple of emails, he suggested an itinerary that was perfect. I was traveling alone. He met me at my hotel and we spent 4 hours together. I highly recommend Eyal.

Eyal is a fantastic tour guide. He is knowledgeable, funny, and enjoyable to be around. He taught us so much about the Jewish history of Berlin and the old Jewish quarter itself, telling great stories and answering all our questions with details and insight. We highly recommend him!

A fantastic Berlin Jewish Tour. Eyal was a fantastic tour guide--informative, casual, personable, fun and incredibly knowledgable. It would be impossible to see the real old Jewish Berlin without a tour guide. We had been down some of the same streets the day before and walked right past them unknowingly. Eyal really knows his stuff.
I highly recommend him!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3-hour tour with Eyal. He was prompt, efficient, extremely knowledgeable and flexible. While we generally do not use guides, we would not have taken away as much as we did about Jewish Berlin and many other fascinating historical insights that he provided. We would highly recommend Eyal to others.

I booked a 2 hour private tour with Eyal and it was just too short – Eyal is so delightful and knowledgable. I had oodles of questions along our tour and he eloquently shared his insights. I really didn't want the tour to end and we extended the tour for another hour. Next time I'm booking a 4 hour walking tour to see and hear even more! I really appreciated Eyal's perspective and was happy to hear more about his own family history. Eyal gets an "A+" and all the "thumbs up". Book him for your next trip to Berlin!

Hi. I’ve been looking at Berlin tours and for 4 of us the costs seem to range from c.£50 to £250. This tour sounds like what we’d want. What is the approximate cost? Thanks
Written October 6, 2018
2 years ago was 75. Euro/hr, for however many people in the tour.

Hi- the name of the guide is Eyal Roth. Just do a search of his name & you will get his contact coordinates.
I highly recommend him- he is very knowledgeable & takes you to sites you normally would be unaware of & not see.

How do I get in touch with you to get information on a tour?

Hi!
What sites do you visit on the Jewish Heritage tour?
I am already planning on seeing the Holocaust Memorial and taking a trip to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp.
Wondering if I should also make time for this tour?
Thanks

Will this tour be appropriate for families with young children?
Written July 3, 2016
It depends on their attention span. It's pretty long, around 3-3.5hrs, with a short break for food in the middle. If you mean is the content suitable this depends on their age I suppose. If they're too young to empathise it won't matter but if they can relate to what was happening to Jewish families it may upset them to hear how they were mistreated and ultimately torn apart.

The Jewish Heritage Tour with Eyal Roth cost us 60 Euro an hour. The tour was about 5 hours so we paid 300 Euro. We were two people on the tour. If you were with a few other travelers, it would cost less. If you need more information let me know.
