Well worth making the journey up to see this bridge and read about the history on the information boards. Try to stand and take yourself back to 1989 and before then as to what it was like before the wall and borders came down.

At this place the german-german border opened the entrance into Western Berlin, without restrictions. In the same area you could see Platz des 9. November 1989, that was the date of the first opening. Beneath the bridge there are a a lots of japanisches kirschbäume....More

Well worth a visit, just to understand and sample the destruction of the Berlin Wall. Not much to do here other than see the bridge and see part of the original wall, but still worth going.
