This is a very unusual, cool and meaningful monument on Spree river. It's not in a prime tourist area, but worth visiting for anyone going to the Treptower park with the terrific Soviet memorial or the Oberbaum bridge (read those reviews). The monument is between them, some 15 min walk from either.
For those not willing to walk, the installation is visible from the Oberabaum bridge, and even better from the next Elsebrucke bridge (close to Treptower park S Bahn station). From those bridges three man seem like hovering on Spree, while as you approach them you notice the bases they're standing on.
The sculpture represents joy of reuniting Berlin and each man represents one borough (Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain and Treptow) which were divided during the cold war.

Location: Spree River near Oberbaum Bridge.

Molecule Man is a beautiful 30 meters high aluminium sculpture consisting of three humans filled with hundreds of holes leaning towards each other. Their intersected arms represent integration.

The three men represent the intersection of the three districts Treptow, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain.

The holes represent molecules that comprise us all. They remind us that regardless the fact of being unique, we are all made from the same basic molecules.

The chosen location stands at the point where the former East and West Berlin met.

This is a wonderful sculpture situated on the River Spree that just looks so cool.
We were crossing the famous Oberbaum Bridge and you get an absolutely fantastic view of this iconic statue.
Measuring close to 90 feet high they certainly can't be ignored and make for a great photo.
A wonderful landmark and one I highly recommend you visit if only to take an unusual photo.

A great place to see sunset in Berlin.
The Molecule Man Sculpture is located in der Spree.
To take a best sunset photo, I suggest visiting the Elsenbrücke.
In summer time, there are lots of photographers bring their cameras (DSLR and tripod) and stay at Elsenbrücke.
The best time in summer is 9pm.

I think this sculptures will look a lot better when the sun set. But nice to see and we had a great bike ride to get there. Recommend to rent electric bike to get around in Berlin. Really nice and easy to get around as they have lanes for bikes

Always a cool place to be (sundowner time is the best) from there you can stroll into Treptower Park or head over to Schlesisches Tor to start the night

This giant sculpture is beside the Truptower Park, a good start for a long walk towards the East Side Gallery and a half day strolling in the nearby streets of central Berlin. Take your time, look for multiple angles for pretty good pictures.

This area along the Spree has many popular restaurants and clubs. It’s a great location for walking along the waterfront and checking out the great mix of people passing through the area.

Since I have come to respect the works of art from the artist, Jonathan Borofsky, I really enjoy the Molecule Man art work located on the Spree. It’s really a giant piece of work and set on the Spree gives it such a nice surrounding. I have also seen some of his other works such as Hammering Man, Walking Man and Walking to the Sky. I make every effort to see any of his works of art while I am traveling.

Look out for these 30m high men walking on the Spree as you cross bridges in eastern Berlin. Best view is the from Elsenbrücke between S-Bahn Ostkreuz and Treptower Park. The sun sets behind the sculpture when viewed from here. You can also see them in the distance as you leave Warschauer Str and cross Oberbaum Bridge.
