We have enjoyed the outdoor treasure hunt Code of Berlin sooo much! It was super exciting to run through Berlin's historic sites and solve imaginative puzzles that got us immersed in the city's history and beautiful sights. We were a team of a visitor and a local and both had so much fun. I can't imagine a better way for sightseeing in Mitte and, as someone living in Berlin, get inspired to pay attention to details and discover places that go unnoticed in the day-to-day life.
With some exit room experience I would categorise the puzzles as closer to easy and fit for beginners but definitely not boring/too easy! They were throughout enjoyable and satisfying to solve, no random, illogical or "luck-required" solutions. Instead: solid, great and elegant game design that makes you jump from excitement when you figure out a solution or find a clue.
I only wish there would be a way to forget the solves and do it again! ;)

Special thanks to our nice and welcoming game master Kite!

Wow what a great experience! Iv never been to one before so don’t know what to Expect, but it was such fun. The rooms Expertly built, you wouldn’t know you were in a bunker in Berlin. It’s definitely worth the experience. We played game of crowns and it was 3 rooms, witch was 95€

Berlin is amazing. It's diverse, alive, young, modern, yet with it's rich history of pain and heroism.
The creators of this game had all of these ideas about this city in mind and were able to come up with an amazing challenge for the visitors and natives, for the old and young, students, professionals, someone who knows history or someone who doesn't. But most importantly- for the teams of friends. We were playing "prison escape" 5 vs. 5 two times ( our group was huge, we had to book 2 separate games where 5 vs. 5). Only one group was able to escape in time, so basically the rest of us were losers, but all of our students were so taken by the action, development of the game and our role in it that we all felt like winners anyway. Highly recommend!

We played Toxic Kitchen at Exit, Berlin. The room design was very basic...and i did not feel that the game had a good flow...or story...in fact, i thought it was not worth the €90 we paid for the 45mins it took us to complete it. The host really didn't do a good job of introducing us to the game, and apart from the badly recorded game intro, the game story was non existent. The majority of the game was made up of number puzzles, and combination locks. Quite uninspiring. By contrast, the room escape we played earlier in the week, Questory, had an amazing story, room design and inventive games and tasks. Comparatively, Exit seemed quite expensive...for such a basic game. I felt cheated when i paid at the end of the game. It seemed to be a generic room escape port from an number of cheap ipad apps...that you have to pay €90 for instead of .69c. Rubbish. A total disappointment. I won't be returning to play their other game.

Great fun - I can concur with other reviewers. However I marked down rating on the basis of cost at ~ 20 -30 euro per person (dependent on numbers) for less than an hour entertainment. You seriously have to consider other activities by comparison (or money is no object). Consider I could go see 3 good movies for that. Alternatively i could have an all day ticket for a good amusement park.

Its clear that one room with a few modified household items is not a high cost venture to set up or to run and the steep price charged is simply down to high demand and people willing to pay that price.

So in summary - all in all a fun but overpriced hour.

p.s. if costs stayed the same - I would be more impressed if time was longer & a few rooms to explore & also would like to see some other interactions involved with more physical activities (like crystal maze in UK).

Hi Max, thank you for your review, also we were a little bit disappointed to get our first 3 star. Because these type of games are still very unknown, we put a big eye on review places like trip. This is an important channel to make these type of game more popular. And of course, good critics are always helpful. I'd like to explain myself about some things you wrote: 1st of all, yes it is an expensive branch at the moment. Also we are one of the cheapest in germany compared to our competitors, I am with you that you have the feeling, it is a lot of money. Even there is more than just the costs of furnishung the room: There is staff, rental, electricity, change the rooms every 6 month to stay attractive and a lot of maintenance etc. I am sorry to correct you, our prices are in between 16.50 Euro - 27.50 Euro per person. The 27.50 ticket price is for a group of two, which is of course more expensive than showing up with a group of 6 people, 16.50 Euro each. You just wrote that you can watch 3 movies for that money, in which country is this possible for the price? Anyway, for the rest from your review: THANK YOU! - christal maze, physical games, more rooms in one game etc. are all on our list to do. We wish you a great night. best regards, Max (Team EXIT)

My partner and I really enjoyed this experience, our first of this kind. As expected and advertised on their website, the 'Madhouse' mission was quite difficult especially for first-timers to this concept. However, we loved the location itself - a bunker - and all the original furniture and detail. Our guide was very friendly - we had a very warm welcome!
I would definitely recommend it!

I went with my girlfriend and another couple and it was nice to solve the path, without some hints given by the professionals and friendly staff we wouldn't made it...
The game is in English and the staff speaks very well English too.
They should make it a bit cheaper...

We completed the Toxic Kitchen game and were left a little disappointed. All of the clues seem to revolve around numbers and there is no logical sequence to them. It means you are left with loads of information without any real satisfaction of finding the next step. Also clues are broadcast over a screen with a staff member watching and listening in. Often we'd ask for help and it took over 5 minutes to get a response, not really acceptable in a timed game. The screen also meant sometimes you just didn't know if someone head heard you so you stood waiting for an answer for nothing.

Hi Andrew, thank you for your review. We focus a lot on the experience of our customers to get better. Of course, we are very disappointed to receive a 2 star review. This is absolutely not our standard as you can also see in over 100 great reviews, we received in the last 3 month. I have to apologize, if you asked for help and you did not receive an answer immediately. This shouldn't be like that and we will train our employees again on that. Our toxic kitchen is very challenging, this is what all Escape Game professionals told us, which played several games before. I can't agree, that you had the feeling, there is no logical sequence inside the game. Every little game inside the room builds up on a next one, but of course, if you find too many hints in the beginning, you have to put them in a logical order for your own. Also I can not agree, that our games only consists with several numbers and codes. Finally I have to mention your review to us comparing to other Live Escape Games, you have played, feels a little bit unfair. We've tested the Questory, too, and we liked the game a lot, but your review says, that this one is the best in Berlin. This opinion is incomplete, as long as you have not played two other, also great Escape Games, in our beloved city. Please don't get me wrong, but this statement, plus your review about Questory comparing to the review you gave to us, is quite opposite and we hope, there is no relation in between you and other suppliers. To clarify, for this young and unknown game branch, it is absolutely not conducive to rate competitors enhanced negative, this reverberates to all Escape Games supplier, so is our opinion. Honestly, I hope, you can still enjoying these type of games. May you are giving us another chance for one of our 4 missions coming up to the end of the year. If you want to communicate about that further, please feel free to contact us by mail or phone. Best regards, Max

We stayed in Berlin only for a couple of days. We heard about the Exit-Game from other tourists and decided to take part of this game very spontaneously. This decision we don´t regret!!
It makes a lot of fun and was a very nice experience we won´t forget.
The guys who supervise the game are very kind and friendly and the location isn´t far from main station.

If you like to upgrade your Berlin trip, we would like to advise you to go there!!

Ps.: Our Time you have to beat is 47:50 ;-)

Great rooms, nothing shabby, just enough guidance to manage the challenges and not getting frustrated. The atmosphere down there is authentic!
