Today I did the 3rd Reich Berlin walk from Insider Tours with Kerry and it was such an experience. In fact this walk is a real History class because before explain a fact, Kerry introduces the economic, political and social moment that was in place. Sometimes I felt like we were in German in the earlys '30, '40. For me... More

Enjoyed the 4 hour walking tour around the city with Kenny! Very knowledgeable guide. Would have missed half of what this beautiful city had to offer if it wasn't for this tour. Very highly recommended!

This was a 4 hour walking tour of the major attractions in Berlin city centre. Barnaby was our guide and he was fantastic. The tour was really interesting, loads of history and background stories. Don't be put off by the 4 hour tour, it didn't actually seem that long and we didn't want it to end!

We had a great day on the famous walking tour. Our tour guide Brian was amazing. We have done many tours in different places but have never met a guide who was so passionate about the place he was showing. Berlin is a special place and Brian is a special tour guide.

New to Berlin? This is the only place to start. You cannot understand what you see around you in the city without a bit of context (history) and this gives you context and all the main sites in four hours. Brian was our guide and was brilliant (I do not exaggerate) and funny. By the end you really have a... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
