A friend and I organised to go on this walking tour on suggestion of Busabout. Our guide was Taylor, who was perfectly engaging, informative and funny. His knowledge was amazing, and he was able to answer every question with not only a story, but also with enthusiasm and provided different perspectives on the city. Suggestions on what to do in... Great 4 hour tour with our guide Maria. There is no way we would have visited everything we did without this tour and we also learnt a lot. We booked online on the morning of the tour which saves 10% and we also had "Welcome Cards" which meant we ended up paying €9 each. Bargain.

I would strongly recommend this walk if you enjoy exercise and want to learn about the history of Berlin. If you are lucky you will have Brian Bell as your your guide (I'm sure they are all excellent though). Brian had an incredible knowledge of Berlin and brought it to life with his highly energetic presentation. You need to come... More

We scheduled this tour on our first full-day in Berlin and I'm glad we did. Taylor was an outstanding guide and I feel like we saw all the must-see Berlin sites in about 4 hours. Make sure you have your walking shoes on as this is of course...a Walking Tour. Knowing that going in you will be fine.

A friend and I did a 4 hour walking tour of Berlin with Taylor, who handled the large group with skill, grace, humour and total audibility. His historical summaries were concise and thoughtful and his anecdotes memorable and well-chosen. He held us all in a state of high engagement throughout the tour and it was clear that we all came... We went on our honeymoon in Berlin and went on two different tours through this company. The first was the Third Reich Berlin walking tour with Cesar. He was absolutely amazing and we learned so much good stuff. He's a really cool guy. If you get a chance, go on his tour for sure. The second tour we took was... More

My partner and I done two tours with Insiders Tours. The 1st one (the walking tour) was led by Kenny through the streets of Berlin, as this was our first ever guided tour on holidays I didn't know what to expect however Kenny provided a great atmosphere and gave us a detailed, enthusiastic tour of beautiful Berlin. Provided a great... More

I had the Famous Walk Tour for 4 hours with Taylor and it was a great introductory tour of Berlin, and Germany. I highly recommend it and if you are lucky, you should get Taylor as a guide too (although you don't get to choose guides for this tour). The tour was extensive in terms of Berlin's history, just about... More

We had the best afternoon learning so much about the history of Berlin. Our guide Taylor, was not only informative, but funny, considerate and handled a big group really well. His stories added a whole new perspective to key locations in the city, well done mate, you were born to do this.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
