Although Wilhelm Hoeck 1892 is not Berlin's oldest pubs ,that distinction goes to Zur Letzten Instanz but it is a pub that is packed with character. Dark wood pannelled walls, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar that looks looks ancient, there's...More

Where to start... We were lucky enough to find this place from our first night in Berlin! Very hospitable and warm environment. Seems like everyone in there is familiar with everyone. They make you feel very welcoming! Best authentic German food we've had in Berlin!...More

Stripped back furnishings; juke box in the corner; authentic, local bar. Smokers allowed, how unusual in this day and age! Friendly staff, we would return.

Wilhelm Hoeck is a really nice traditional German pub. The food was nice and the ambiance of the place is superb. Any beer fan visiting berlin should go to this place.

Ate some of the best food I have had and enjoyed a drink in the old themed bar. I order a pulled pork roast dinner which I would recommend to anyone. Compliments to the chef! Great atmosphere, great service. The bar next to the restaurant...More

Excellent. Traditional German food, sourced locally, cooked perfectly, charged reasonably and served by a lovely waitress. Would I go back? I already have, twice on the same trip and I only regret not going a third time.

An amazing piece of history, bullet holes in the old wooden bar, photos of celebrities who have visited there over the decades, Olympic rowing memorabilia on the walls. We had dinner in the old part of the pub and no complaints, typical German fare, very...More

I like to try new places, and this seemed to be just the thing. An old bar and restaurant, plenty of character and not really a touristy place. The website painted a pretty different picture to the reality. It was very busy and very, very...More
