Vater Bar in Neukölln is a small bar with a typical “Berlin aura”. It’s rough, vintage and a lot of candles everywhere. I would recommend a visit even though it was pretty crowded and hard to find somewhere to sit.
Have been here twice and the atmosphere is really berlin style, that means little lights and vintage design. The drinks are nothing special. A negative point was the temperature, I felt cold the most of the time and lot of clients were wearing a jacket!!
Stopped by at Vater Bar late on a Sunday evening for a nightcap. The decor attracted us from the street, the worn down building dressed up with vintage lampshades and candlelight provided the perfect backdrop for a cocktail or two. We knew what we fancied...More
it is a fantastic bar with a lot of candelas and comfortable sofas that make a warm atmosphere inside!! the owner is a Russian guy, so you will notice russian elements inside!! i'm sure you will appreciate this bar... :-)

No Berlin neighborhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as "Little Istanbul." Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down
Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
