A place which is representative for the vibe of this city. Of course, special an unique. But at the same time very sad and disgusting. Lots of lost souls who identify with their victimhood, narcissistic good looking guys and women who think they are appreciated. Sad. Roughness is the language you have to talk to be respected.

A real authentic feeling 'dive' bar. We pulled up to the bar and chatted to the locals, who were all varying degrees of mental, but all utterly charming. Unusual décor, but a very smoky atmosphere. We loved it and felt that it was a uniquely 'Berlin' place.

Tiny little place full of quirky objects. The locals were welcoming and the landlady really friendly.
We wandered in off the street to avoid a rainstorm and ended up staying for 3 hours and returning the next day. Loved it and a must see.

Upon entering this pub, my friends and I were immediately greeted with "English bastards!" by one of the locals. I ordered our 12 beers in German and was quizzed "why are you here?" by the landlady. I explained that I'd researched nights out in Berlin and asked her to confirm how long they'd been open? She stated that they opened in 1978 and had never closed!
Once the ice was broken, games of table football (fussball for you Americans) ensued with mixed English/German teams and we enjoyed a great 'piss up' with our hosts. We were presented with a tray full of Schnapps as well as pictures of the pub before we left.
This pub is completely unique, motorbikes hanging from the ceiling as well as all sorts of other curiosities, puppets sat at tables and an excellent atmosphere. If you're nearby, you must pop in.

Alternative scene with wacky staff but great beer. The toilets are like something from Trainspotting but worth a visit for a (tiny) bar that is kind of 'out there'.

Love this place, just a good bar with nice people, cool location. We spent a good 5 hours in here and went to go back again.

There is no denying that this is a rough and ready sort of place. It never closes and is generally full of locals and no tourists. The interior is astounding with all sorts of strange statues and ornaments including a cello and drums hanging from the ceiling. The locals were very friendly and invited us to play table football with them. The beer was also very good.

This pub is at the hard edge of Berlin and from what they told me there, it never closes. That might explain the grubby appearance and it seems to appeal to many who probably like the rough and ready vibe it gives out. The decor - if that is the word - is very unusual. Model pig and dog along with all sorts of paraphernalia hang from the ceiling and walls and grunge music beats out interminably as you sip your drinks. It is really interesting to see, if only once. By the way, if you are planning a romantic weekend in Berlin, don't bring your convent educated girlfriend here.

This is by far the best bar in Berlin. It's open 24/7 and you can be sure to always find something going on. Selection of beers is good and the vibe is something to experience.
I've been living next to it since 4 years now and I had some of the craziest afterhours you can get in a bar. Music selection goes from techno to 80s rock and EVERYTHING in between. On Wednesdays there's free kicker available but be prepared to face some of the best players around - it's taken very seriously.
Don't leave town without visiting this, really.

This is a local drinkers bar make no mistake. As a tourist/non local you stand out like a sore thumb in this small cluttered place.
I believe it stays open 24 hrs a day, certainly until the last person leaves. I haven't been to a bar where people smoke inside for many years..... I'm not sure they are supposed to, there are signs up in there which mention the 'polizei', i couldn't work out exactly what it said!
The bar staff and locals were perfectly friendly and we had a few bottles of beer before the smoke got too much for me.
It was recommended in a magazine in out hotel room and I was glad we went. Really close to the U bahn.
