While the kids played with their father at the playgound close to the parking lot I wandered off to see the park and its monuments. I knew little about Treptow park before but was amazed by the vast open spaces surrounded with trees in perfect lines. The park was so quite and calm, the atmosphere dense with history. So beautiful.

This is a very impressively done Memorial site of Russian soldiers by Stalin. Definitely worth a visit.

You have two things you can do when visiting the park. Firstly, there is a very pleasant walk along side the river, looking at the water fowl or secondly as we had done the first on a previous visit, we went across the park and main road to visit the Soviet War Memorial dedicated to their losses in World War... The place is large and chill. Different from some other crowded parks in the city. There are also some historical monuments, regarding the war. Cool place!

This park is huge and was quite busy when we passed through on a Sunday morning. It was a nice walk. The main reason we visited was to see the Soviet monument, which was fascinating. It really is huge and unlike any other monuments in the city; it is also a bit off the beaten track. It is worth taking... More

This is a beautiful park.First walk down by the river which is on one side as you come out of the metro. Then there is a large gate to go through as in picture and walk all through it.Advisable to go on a sunny day as you won't enjoy it in the rain.No shelter whatsoever. It is free to see.

By far one of the best parks in Berlin. It is huge and quite relaxing to walk around esp near the water and the view of the ferris wheel ahead. One of the three Soviet Memorial is located here. The Soviet Guard who holds a child is one of my favorite statue.

Treptover park is really nice. You can go promenade, sit by the lake and have a beer or you can go check out the Russion monument over fallen soldiers. That is really like entering into this communist monumental huge memorialpark. It just takes you back in time

If you are visiting the East Side Gallery, or close to the Ostkreutz station, take the time to visit the Treptower Park and the Soviet Memorial. This is the largest war memorial of Berlin, built by Stalin after the war is a testimony of the Soviet idealism of the victory against the Nazi. The monument it self is impressive because... More

Definitely a must see in Berlin... maybe one of the first things to see.....easy to find and lovely park setting close to the river...the scale is breathtaking and the imagery is high Soviet symbolism. The centre piece is dramatically impressive...the histories behind the memorial are horrific.
