We went to the park because friends had recommended it. It's a bit off the beaten path in Berlin, but still relatively easy to get to. Wow, this monument to Soviet soldiers (and others) who died fighting the Nazis is ENORMOUS. Carved stone slabs on either side of this rectangular site (one side in German, the other side in Russian)... More

Worth a trip out to see Treptower Park and see things from the Soviet side a memorial to the thousands of Russians who lost their lives. Sobering thought thinking of the many thousands who lost their lives on all sides of the conflict.

We had to come to this park due to attending the Lollapalooza festival and I must say it was the perfect area for it. It is a huge park and it's close to the public transport stations and it definitely suits the event we attended. It's a beautiful area.

A lovely peaceful park I found it a very moving experience . The centre piece is a statue of a Russian soldier holding a child in his arms , I really enjoyed walking around this park and the weather was excellent which was a bonus.

Both romantic & impressive. The park has a wide range of spots, is beautifully archirectured, and peaceful. Holds a wonderful monument of the Russian army and a lake. I had a great time relaxing in it. Even though I couldn't find the lake. :)

This is an amazing park. It is dedicated to the soviet troops who died in the battle of Berlin in World War Two. It quite large and very well laid out. The centrepiece is the massive statue of a Russian soldier holding a child and crushing a swastica with his boot.

I was here during the lollapalooza festival in September and i was surprised with how big this park is. I really enjoyed it during the festival so i can only imagine how much i would enjoy a relaxing walk in the park.

A very very large memorial to the Soviet soldiers who died in the WWII taking of Berlin. It is all that you expect from the Soviet era.
