Über cool Mitte at its best

If there was such a thing as a typical Mitte bar/restaurant this would be something like it. The surroundings are great - no big electricity bills for these guys it's lit almost... read more

This could be a really good restaurant but is totally spoiled by the incompetent and highly rude staff. The owners really need to put in professional serving staff that have been trained to understand what Customer Service is really about. The manager seems to weak in controlling his people.

If there was such a thing as a typical Mitte bar/restaurant this would be something like it. The surroundings are great - no big electricity bills for these guys it's lit almost entirely by candles, it has a great atmosphere and typical Mitte ironic kitschy-ness which can get a bit too much with someplaces but the difference here is that... My wife and I visited WHite Trash twice during our last stay in Berlin. The first time was for a meal as we'd heard the burgers were good. We were glad that the rumours we'd heard were true and we both enjoyed our burgers. During our meal a Southern rock band from Tennesse were playing original blues songs and our... More

Nice eating and great music, white trash merges fast food comfort & popularity with alternative rock shows and the result is one the be st club I've never been in, and of course a nice restaurant where you can find hamburger, chips and nice beers.

Read about here in an ASOS magazine and expected quite a memorable experience with an interesting crowd. As another review stated, this place is TGI Fridays with some rockabilly on the side, it was probably a cool hangout when it started but it definitely isn't now. Apart from our waiter being polite and prompt this place is not good. The... More

We were a group of 9 who booked in advance after having several recommendations to go to White Trash. We had a terrible time which I could turn into a big long story but I'll try and keep it short and to the point. It started going wrong when we annoyingly had to queue outside and be let in two... I have never experienced such bad service. Everything was so late arriving to the table, and then any follow up discussions to why, were just ignored. Management handled the whole situation terribly. At least it lived up to it's name 'TRASH'....Horrified of this experience in such an otherwise lovely city!

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
