Had no issues getting in at all on a late Sunday night. Lady at the front was very polite and friendly. Its a split level two room club, overlooking the river. I was solo but met a lot of friendly people esp outside in the patio area.... btw the view was amazing. Drinks were reasonably priced and crowed was definitely... More

This is a popular place amongst locals. Had to queue and a few people were turned away at door. They asked us a couple of questions to make sure we knew the club before we were allowed in and were told we couldn't take photos or selfies. Music and line up was good if you're into house music. Would be... More

We were the first group of foreigners to get here on Saturday night. We'd done our homework before visiting Berlin and had read as many blogs and tips as possible. So, we knew that: if you're going to stand in line, make sure you know the name of the club and/or who's playing that night. You are likely to be... More

Few of my friends and myself came to the the entrance and were asked what have you come to see... in reply " we have come from England to see the famous watergate" .... "not tonight down the stairs" we were dressed like normal lads, partied at some of the best clubs in Europe, standard attire jeans leather jacket and... More

Great place for dancing. The electronic scene in this place is worth seeing. Be prepared to name drop the nights dj line up in order to come in. Don't come en big groups. Remember cash as they don't accept credit cards.

I have been to loads of clubs around the world and this was one of the good one's I like both floors of music and we were lucky and had tiefshwarz playing the night we were there.. I don't understand the negative reviews to Much unless the people didn't get in... Once in the bar staff and everyone was nice... More

Long line and price for entrance are maybe not the best, but for anyone that likes techno and electronic music is a good place to go. The whole interior and huge windows that you can see the river are just amazing. Exit to the docks when you need air is also a good solution. Club is one of this places... More

This club has a relatively low rating which can be explained due to the fact that not everyone is allowed to enter. The door policy might seem a bit unfair, but I am certain that if you dress and behave correctly you should be able to get in. We went with 4 guys, all non-German speaking tourists, which we divided... More

Long line, nice music and average interior. People were nice, met some very interesting international people. Sunrise was great. We stayed until morning (11am). You should try!

We went to Watergate on a Saturday night at around 2 in the morning. The line was short and the door policy wasn't that strict. I had the idea that the club would be a bit more exclusive. Well, not really. It was mostly tourists and drug dealers. Even the guy cleaning the toilets tried to sell us drugs. The... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
