A surprisingly well done "model village" in lovely surroundings

I visited this on a whim as it is just near my current hotel. The park currently has about 40 models of famous landmarks and historical sites from within Berlin and the surrounding area. The models are incredibly well executed (some of them are accurate to the individual roof tile). They've chosen a 1:25 scale which makes some of the larger models really sizeable (some are 2m or more tall). It was rather fun to be able to take a selfie with the Victory Column!

Many of the models feature additional animations or sound effects. For instance the model of Wittenberg-Platz U-bahn has model trains running through it and the Welt Balloon actually takes off after giving a passenger announcement.

As well as the actual models there's a tea room selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and several attractions for children (a bouncy castle, playground, etc). All in all for €4.50 it was a very enjoyable way to spend an unseasonably warm Autumnal afternoon!

It was a bit of a trek from our hotel but it was really worth it. It is accessible with an accessible toilet

2 - 4 train+tram changes away from center but we had really nice time here. Nice models, kids' park/activities and a picnic area. Check the weather forecast!

A relaxing way to pass an afternoon
Aug 2014 • Couples
This was not too easy to find but well worth it. It is in the middle of a park.
it is well laid out and also hands on. Gives a good overview of Branenburg.
We were 2 adults but really enjoyed ourselves. It made a nice break from hustle and bustle of shopping and sightseeing

I would reccommendthis for all ages

Great Little Place
Oct 2012 • Solo
I visited here after it being suggested on a 'off the beaten path' site for Berlin back in October. It is quite far out, but is worth it and is located in a large open park and is very well signposted. It features extremely detailed models of all the famous buildings and palaces around Berlin and Potsdam, I loved this little place, it isn't huge and only takes around 45minutes-1hour to view everything but it makes a nice little detour out of the city. Entrance fee is also not expensive. Overall I would recommend this to anybody, solo travellers (which I was), couples, kids ect.
