Address
Neighborhood: Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.

Has a good mix of shops and is well laid out over three floors. Well maintained and clean. Not the high end shops where you don't spend money but those that you do a daily basis.

The usual chains are there. Food shops also. It is closed on Sunday afternoon!! Easy to get to - train stop is right there. Nothing spectacular about it but you can find what you need.

Range of shops covering food, fashion and accessories. Was able to find what I wanted efficiently by looking around a range of shops. Impressive and good location.

My wife and I were staying at a B&B near the Schoenhauser S-Bahn station in Prenzlauer Berg. We were returning from the Center City on the U-Bahn and decided to go in the Arcade (really a mall, in America). We were surprised at all the different shops and restaurants. I think it had three levels, but I can't quite remember.
There was entertainment for children like puppet shows. There were plenty of places where you could sit down to eat. There were a goodly choice of eateries on the ground level along with bakeries and coffee shops. Generally speaking it is a "fun" place to go, especially if the weather is lousy outside.

Quite small when compared to the largest and best malls in Berlin and a bit further from the city center. Quite empty during the day, which is a plus. One more plus for the Accesorize store, one of the two in Berlin.

Schonhauser Allee is an important station on the Berlin metro network. This mall is in the vicinity. You can go out to the butcher's and try fresh German sausages. There's also a nice Japanese sushi restaurant in the building.

Mid-sized, clean and convenient. Perfect for grocery shopping or if you need to pick up lunch on the go. The H&M is well stocked and large, there's a great selection of shoe shops and even a Medimax for all your tech needs.

Close to a S-bahn stop. Has all the shops you might need and want. Two grocery stores on the ground floor, numerous clothes and shoes stores. Pharmacy and bakery. Also has a postoffice. Looks clean.

Nice shopping mall that had some nice shops to explore in. Nice place to relax with a light snack or coffee, although would not recommend the coffee in the lower floor in the cafe next to the supermarket. It was a nice looking place and pastries and cakes looked great but the coffee tasted awful. Asian food in place by entrance on right hand side as you come in was lovely, with quick service and nice food. Nice shops to look through also.
