Get a reservation if you want to be guaranteed a meal at Cafe am Neuen See. The beer garden is great, but they had already run out of food when we were there for an early dinner on a weekday. We didn't have a reservation, so the beer garden was about all we could try. The See next to the... More

We came here after we had arrived for a coffee and it hit the spot perfectly. Drinks were a little cold. The second day we came for breakfast and my dad got scrambled egg, it's fair to say it looked like rubber and like it wasn't freshly cooked. On the first day, staff were fabulous. For breakfast, our waitress couldn't... More

A very nice, unassuming beer garden + restaurant in Tiergarden park, situated beside a lake. The food was organic and delicious. Had spareribs and chicken with beer. The outside benches offered a better view, but the service in the restaurant was much faster. The candles by the windows added a nice touch. Went in the early afternoon. It got very crowded... More

Super hot fireplace, don't sit near it. Also, don't set up a television behind us to watch the football. Food was acceptable. OK for price, I guess. If you are near there go, no need to go out of your way to go there.

Inside you'll find a cozy atmosphere with average food that is priced slightly too high. You don't feel ripped off, but you aren't happy either. In March we sat indoors, and where seated close to the fire place. It was way too hot and we felt uncomfortable. Make sure to get a table some meters away from the fire place.... More

Tucked in the park in town. The service is good and food very yummy. The pizzas are a must have. Great value for money in an authentic restaurant.

Had lovely soup and cake at the cafe... not quite as nice as in the Summer - but great place to stop, have a drink and admire the Autumn colours mid-walk...

Very rude service, bad food, much more expensive than the average in Berlin, we payed more than 80 euros for 3 poor salads, two soups, one bottle of water, 3 beers and 2 desserts. One of my friend payed 13 euros for a very poor salad with no-taste and very small piece of avcado, 2 slices of tomato and a... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
