a 2 hour private walking tour of WWII Berlin

I've been to Berlin a few times but my husband not at all. Harald presented WWII Berlin anew for both of us and we really appreciated 2:1 tour. Thank you, Harald.

We spent a perfectly planned and executed full day touring Belin with Harald and had no idea when we booked how well paced, interesting, varied and pleasant it would be. Thank you, Harald for sensing our interests and adding some sights we never could have found on our own. Your sensitivity to the history and culture of the city was... More

Honestly I did not think it was possible to enjoy visiting a major European city in just 6-8 hours. Our travel time from the cruise ship rivaled the time spent in Berlin. Harald is an extremely patient, knowledgeable guide who has great compassion and is very thorough. We enjoyed our personalized tour of Berlin while not feeling pressured by our... More

Harald was a great tour manager and guide! Exactly what we were looking for during a brief 2-day visit to Berlin. Organized, interesting, congenial. We are a family of 4 with two teens who get bored easily and I have to say I don't think there was ever any point when any of us were bored. We saw everything we... More

We had a wonderful time on our tour of Berlin with Harald! It was me, my husband, and my two young girls (ages 12 and 7) and we was very sensitive to giving the history of Berlin in an entertaining but age-appropriate way. Obviously, there are some terrifying stories in Germany's history and he made sure that he was honest... More

We were very impressed with Harald's knowledge of Berlin - the city and its history. The tour was a fast paced - 3.5 hour tour that hit all of the highlights and history on our first day in Berlin. It set us up for additional touring at our own pace knowing what we wanted to see more of!

We took the 4 hour tour yesterday. I booked with Harold about 4 months ago on line from Canada. From the start with a contract to arranging for a drive rand van, the tour was nothing less than very professional. The real value was the information Harold was able to add as we visited not only the main sites but... More

Harold had clearly listened to our requirements and provided a customised tour of Berlin. Not only did he have a really good knowledge of the city and its history he came equipped with photos of the city from before and after WW2 to provide background to the places we visited.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
