Harald was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. He tailored our tour to include our areas of interest which included the main attractions plus much much more. Without Harald we would have missed so many places that we never knew about even with extensive research. The little details provided were informative and made the tour so much more valuable. The tour is... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending four to five hours on three different days with Harald Zawuski. On the three separate tours (city of Berlin, Potsdam and the Jewish tour) he was thoroughly knowledgable and we enjoyed every minute of our time with him.

Berlin was the first stop of our vacation and we couldn't have had a nicer start. Harald was an amazing tour guide. He was interesting to listen to, answered all our questions and overall was just a very pleasant person to spend the day with. He also helped us plan the rest of our time in Berlin pointing out interesting... More

We are so happy that we took the tour with Harold. Initially, we were a little hesitate to book the tour, as the time spent to get to the city and back to the ship would be just as much as the time spent in Berlin. But we are so glad we did, as the tour turned out to be... More

It was one one the best tours that we had taken with a professional guide who knew his subject and time management. 3 hours passed before we knew it and we were able to cover all our points of interest. Harald's sense of humor and knowledge of events kept us always interested and amused. Thank you Harald for an amazing... More

One of the best experiences of Berlin was our walking tour with Harald. He kept a good pace and covered a lot of ground both walking us through the streets and providing extremely interesting information about sights around us. Harald kept his narrative live and interesting for all of us, we all were very engaged and enjoyed Harald's company. Harald... More

I've been to Berlin a few times but my husband not at all. Harald presented WWII Berlin anew for both of us and we really appreciated 2:1 tour. Thank you, Harald.

We spent a perfectly planned and executed full day touring Belin with Harald and had no idea when we booked how well paced, interesting, varied and pleasant it would be. Thank you, Harald for sensing our interests and adding some sights we never could have found on our own. Your sensitivity to the history and culture of the city was... More

Honestly I did not think it was possible to enjoy visiting a major European city in just 6-8 hours. Our travel time from the cruise ship rivaled the time spent in Berlin. Harald is an extremely patient, knowledgeable guide who has great compassion and is very thorough. We enjoyed our personalized tour of Berlin while not feeling pressured by our... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
