It used to be charming street with small, individual shops and bars/restaurants.

It's still a lively and trendy scenary and worth a walk and a trink. Yet it lost a bit since more and more shops got lost and were replaced by even more places to consume food and baverages.

There is still the chance to find this one special place for you.

Bergmannstrasse in Kreuzberg, is really a place to visit. Plenty of nice restaurants and coffee shops. Visit also Marheinekeplatz and Marheineke marked hall where they sell exellent food from local farmers and manefacturers. Nearest tube station is Gneisenaustrasse on U7.

This Bergmann str. is just about 4 blocks where Thai, Italian, Spanish, japanes, Indian, Vietnamese, turkish, greek and last not least the Arabians meet with their native kitchen.

I love Kreuzberg and this is one of the nicest streets of the neighborhood. It is a busy, lively colorful street filled with stores, unique shops and restaurants offering foods from all over the world. You can find fancy boutiques and thrift shops on the same block. Fun area to leisurely walk and explore.

Take the U-Bahn to Mehringdamm then go east on Bergmanstrasse for a little shopping. The junk shops that used to be here have mostly disappeared, but did meet some Syrian immigrants keeping the trade alive with some bargains. If you know what you're buying, you can negotiate some very favorable prices. To me, the best stop in the Marheineke Markhhalle, a modern and excellent indoor food market. Food kiosks for on premises dining, or purchase your own components for a picnic in the park! Quality foodstuffs here at wallet friendly prices.

It may have been the time of year or just not for us. This little part of Berlin did not excite us. Just a street in my view, ordinary.

Start at the Mehringdamm U bahn station and have a doner kebab at Mustafa's Gemuse Kebab. Then stroll down to the Bergmannstrasse and head to your left. There are cute shops and great coffee houses. Wander all the way down the Marheineke Markthalle and then circle back to the Mehringdamm station on the other side of the street. A great way to spend a few hours.

I stayed for a week on Bergmannstrasse and could have easily stayed put, not seeing anything else in Berlin. The street is full of cosy cafés, interesting shops of all kinds (antiques, clothes, knickknacks, second hand, food specialties), and great restaurants with plenty of choices for the vegetarian. I especially liked Knofi for lunch and dinner, but also for their bakery across the street. The whole street is bubbling with life, but in a relaxed, friendly way. Even late at night when everyone is sitting and drinking beer in sidewalk bars and cafés, the atmosphere is cosy instead of drunken. It is a fantastic starting point for walks and bicycle rides to the rest of Berlin. I would definitely stay here again.

Up in the eclectic Kreuzberg district of Berlin you will find the long street called Bergmannstraße.
It's a street like most others in the neighbourhood, lots of bars, cafe's,restaurants and fast food joints, there's a multitude of different cuisines on offer ranging from the local German offerings to Italian, Turkish,Vietnamese, American and innumerable other nationalities, it's a cool place to just drop anchor at a local bar and watch the world rush by while enjoying an iced cold Berliner beer.
Well worth checking out.

This is my favorite street! If you dont know where to eat and want to try something new then this is the place!
In the afternoon the second Hand shop is the place to be! You pay by kilo and can get great offers for Hats and Shoes. After we went to the Market Hall and got vegan snacks. In the evening you can find restaurant from every heritage! The Umami and HuongQue is my favorite! you get everything vegan while you have the meat option!
