    Lots of Pictures!!!!
It was an awesome experience and the curator of the museum gave us an excellent tour. 100% worth the small entrance fee. I would hands down come back to this museum before I go back to Topography of Terror because you can gather all the important details in about an hour if you take your time. Our tour was offered in English and all photos/captions are in deutsch with English translations!

Another beautiful panorama by the master, asisi. Beautifully captures the life of both berlins, through various photos, stories, people and a brilliant panorama. Takes you back to the time when the wall existed. Asisi has done great service to Berlin by recreating this, painful as it may be for ppl who have an emotional connect with it, but, it is a story that needs to be told and in a way only Asisi can !

    Beautiful museum
A really amazing beautiful museum. We weren’t even meant to go but super glad we popped by as it was one of my highlights of my trip. The main staff there was super welcoming and ended up giving us a tour around the museum, explaining so much in detail of the historical events of the Berlin Wall. He was always willing to answer any question anyone had which majorly doubled the good experience there and we really appreciated this.

When the Wall was still realityand the East drab, gray and oppressed I visited the Haus on Checkpoint Charlie.
It has changed little. Larger, with some more themed displays, but the main exhibits remain the same. By turns saddening and giving brighter moments when one considers that the human spirit is never entirely vanquished and that the harder any form of dictatorship grips the more people will find ways to evade the restictions with small daily vistories and actual escapes.

Visit the Haus but do not expect to be entertained.

Incredibly informative, from the start of the division of territories, right to the end when the wall falls.

A perfect place to go if you don't know the history before hand.

One of the best bits is the curator was a West Berliner present at the time of the wall collapse and their photos are present within the Museum.

I went back a second time to meet him and ask him some questions, very insightful meeting someone who lived through it.

Please note, this isn't your typical museum where it's mostly stuff to look at in a glass box and rather an educational one.

You can't put an ideology in a glass box.

This was one of my most favorite museums. I thought it was a very personal and passionate exhibit. I could feel how much went into it so we could share in the experience.

A simple and small museum focused on the history of Berlin's wall. The idea is good but the museum could have contained more pictures or information.

It's a quaint little museum with a good overview of the history of the wall. I really enjoyed the audio guide that should take around 45 minutes but, as I read almost every sign, it took me the better part of two hours. Special thanks to the very friendly employee, who almost gave me a private tour.

I didn’t know what to expect with this exhibit. Having just experienced the tacky and overrated checkpoint Charlie, this was a clever, touching and individualistic way of looking at the Berlin Wall. The size and scale of it is to be believed and the other contributions from modern artists are thought provoking and arresting, including a video highlighting the plight of refugees done by Ukrainian refugees. A great way of showing the absurdity and injustice of the wall. Thoroughly recommend.

There are several museums & exhibitions in Berlin that tell this story and this is just another one, having said that, I found the audio guide excellent and gave a good account of events and life behind the wall. If it were available as a pod cast, I’d rate it highly. The exhibition though is a chronology of photos with a short description for each and without the audio guide it’s is just a series of photos.

I served in Berlin in the 70’s and and remain fascinated by the fact that some guy thought it was a good idea to build a wall down the middle of a city and even nearly 50 years on from my service and 30+ since the fall of the wall, I still love to hear and read the events that lead up to it being built, life behind it and the events that lead to it’s demise. This does tell the story, but there are others which are more detailed (checkpoint Charlie for one)

I wouldn’t deter anyone from going, but if you know the story of the wall, this won’t tell you anything new
