We went on a beautiful fall day. The colors of the leaves, the peacocks... everything was beautiful and enjoyable. Only minor aspect: the castle was closed for renovations. Hopefully we'll be going back in the spring to enjoy the flowers and changing landscape.

Beautiful place to relax. Unfortunately many tourists groups with guides and many children. But for sure you will find a quiet place on this beautiful Island. You only can go by ferry - or swin :-) a perfect place to make photos.

Love the serenity of the island. No cars allowed. You have to use the ferry to get there. A walk around the island takes a good two hours and if you're lucky you'll see one of the peacocks.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is located on the Wannsee...on the Havel River. The nature reserve has a beautiful castle on the island.

The Peacock Island can be reached by ferry (a couple of minutes crossing) and is perfect for a peaceful stroll in a park-like environment. Peacocks can be met running free on the island, and other small farm animals (i.e. roosters) can be seen at a...More

It's located a bit outside (thank god otherwise it would be cramped with tourists). It's a nice little island with places to rest and a few peacocks (unsurprisingly) which may come fairly close. There is a meadow in the center where you can lie down...More

From the centre of Berlin, Pfauninsel requires a subway, train, bus, and a brief ferry ride, but this is fairly easy to navigate and costs only around 6 or 7 Euros in total for one person. Entry to the island itself is free, and is...More

We only looked at the castle. I don't think you can go inside, but the whole island is beautiful.
