Visited with my husband during our trip to Berlin in Jan 2017. The park itself is huge, we walked for an hour and didn't get from one side to another (albeit it was slippy underfoot due to the snow) we'd love to visit in summer time as well, the vast lawns would be a wonderful place to walk through. There... More

I was just taking a long walk in the park and I got so many surprises while there. The snow following by the sky, the colors around me, the trees and how the park connects so many interesting things and feelings around me! It's very relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful!

We were just next to the garden when we visited Victory Column, Brandenburger Tor, Bellevue Schloss. After taking a few steps in, it was just too cold to be walking in the snow. No flowers, just leaveless trees, just not appealing.

We had some lovely walks on winter's days through this city centre park which is delightful and pleasant to walk around.

Spent a lovely time wondering around the Tiergarten in the snow. There are some fantastic statues, awesome birds of prey and we thoroughly enjoyed the time there...

Never expected something like this in a highly populated and one of the most important cities in the world. Splendid.

Walked from Kurfürstendamm to Brandenburg gate through this park. The patches were a bit slippery but with good boots it is possible and ok. Saw a white owl and a few dogs having a walk with their owners. Nice and tranquil...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
