The largest park in Berlin
Jul 2021
Tiergarten is a famous 210-hectare park in the center of Berlin. Its maximum length in the east-west direction is about three kilometers and in the north-south direction about one kilometer.

The Straße des 17. Juni runs through the park. In the middle of the park is a roundabout with the Siegessäule victory pillar.

Many of Berlin’s most famous sights are located right on the outskirts of the Tiergarten, including the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag Building, Potsdamer Platz, and Zoologischer Garten.

Today, the park is an important recreational area for Berliners.

Big and beautiful park

Had a nice walk trough the park. During spring beautiful with rhododendrons, and you can often stumble on different events in the park. Didn’t find any kiosks in the park, would’ve been nice to grab a soda and ice cream at some point.

Wonderful place

Always a pleasure to visit Tiergarten. Such a beautiful place. Amazing trees, glimmering lakes, flowers... you can get lost here, it's so huge! That's the only downside to it; there's so much to see that you can't do it all in one day, and sometimes you get literally lost, trying to find your way in this labyrinth.... But that's also the charm of it.

Huge and pleasant

I love this park, it looks so different each season. It is like a real fairy tale - a magic forest in the heart of the big city. It is a perfect place to rest, to walk with kids and pets. I've been there many times but I guess that only a small part if Tiergarten was covered. Love forever and hope someday I'll say - I know the whole park!

Something Special
Jul 2020
Well this is Berlin's most spectacular feature, as far as I am concerned.
Almost a real forest in the middle of a City. We were so lucky that our Hotel bordered it & could go in almost everyday.
Any town planner would be well advised to visit this place.
One can almost walk around & feel quite alone amongst these huge trees & bubbling brooks.
There are these hidden cafes serving very simple fare at reasonable prices.
One can even cycle around at lesiure & not worry about mad cyclists racing the traffic lights!
Simply wonderful!
We were being followed at one point so be aware.

Green lung of capital

This green expanse must be preserved under any circumstances, although animal life is declining there as well.

Really nice

We cut through here yesterday from near the Reichstag across in the direction of the Kaiser Wilhelm Church. Lovely walk, like walking through woods and not a park. Would have loved to have had more time to spend here. On route came across the Victory Column (Siegessaule) on the roundabout, which i later saw was visible from the Brandenburg Gate. Fab views across Berlin
