Relaxing

Lots of nice open spaces for relaxation, great spot for a bite and a lay down in the sun or a stroll through the woods. Choose a nice day for it!

This is a very very big garden or park, we were lucky to be there on a very hot summarday,so we could enjoy the shadow of the leafs of the many beautyfull trees. The different busstops are also an advantage when you want to speed up your walk.

The Tiergarten is one of the most impressive Parks in the inner circle of a city. Central Park in New York maybe is smaller. This green lung of the city offers not only greens to lay down and relax, small trails to walk comfortably, ponds, animals and cycle roads, but also wonderful views onto the main building attractions of Berlin... Stunning garden! Absolutely beautiful. I went on a hot day and was able to sit in the shade with warm air, but a cool breeze hitting me. Would definitely recommend going there as a chill day.

Nicely looked after haven in the middle of the city. Easy to forget where you are as so quiet. Nice to just sit and get away from hustle and bustle for a while.

We decided to walk through this part from Brandenburg Gate to our hotel in West Berlin about a 45 min walk..it is a beautiful park with lots of different little paths.. luckily I had my Google maps or I could I have been walking round for hours. Lots of people on bikes. Also some very scenic views...definitely worth a walk

Once you get into the park you can hardly hear the noice of the traffic. Wide tracks (no asfalt, but some areas with pavement stone). Intersections mostly marked with signs/maps so you know where you are.

A huge, green area in the middle of Berlin. Great for walking or cycling. We walked all the way from Brandenburger Tor via Siegessäule to the Tiergarten S-bahn. Interesting and pleasant.

I can't tell if I like this place or not. I loved seeing all the animals, but they aren't very big enclosures. The seals have a bit of space and you can tell they are very happy, bears and polar bear don't seem too happy. That's what you get in zoos I suppose. I have been to better but it... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
