We booked a window seat in the restaurant from 3pm-4.30 pm in winter so we watched the city go from (admittedly quite a grey) day to night. The ticket is quite expensive at €55 for 2 people and any food or drink was additional to this, but it was a lovely way to spent 90 mins, getting 3 revolutions of the restaurant. The day time menu runs till 4pm so we were able to enjoy some lite bites with our German sparkling wine.

A view and experience to enjoy. The 203m view from the viewing deck presents a beautiful 360 degree view of the city of Berlin. The perfect positioning of the tower allows for a detailed view of historical and significant landmarks, buildings, classic structures and sights of Berlin.

There is also a bar at the viewing deck which guests can visit to spend more time appreciating the view from that height. Although the drinks are rather steep at the bar, it is the experience of having a drink at 203m high that you're essentially paying for.

Sadly, the entry fee is rather steep for the short amount of time spent at this location, especially since the restaurant can only be accessed with an entry ticket, and it is located above the viewing deck, giving customers an even higher up experience of the tower and view of Berlin.

But thumbs up to customer service at the Berliner Fernsehturm, most of the staff are very
warm, friendly and helpful. It is a location that I'd recommend visiting while in Berlin.

We booked in advance a window table. Unfortunately this does not allow you to skip the queue so you have to wait behind people who have just bought viewing gallery tickets from the machine. The view from the revolving restaurant is very good so we enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately the hamburgers were not good quality and certainly didn't justify the relatively high price.

Used our last afternoon to take in the tower restaurant and observation deck.

Starting with the restaurant the cost to book is the same as going to the observation deck, so the additional cost is for lunch. It was about £17 for a cheeseburger and you don’t get fries, just crisps.

Whilst the burger was nice, this is perhaps more about the experience rather than the food.

Observation deck was so busy and roasting.

Overall a good experience, but food perhaps a little overpriced.

Dear Alex, Thank you so much for sharing your experience. 😘 Every day we work hard to deliver to our guests the very best. We are constantly working on improving the gastro experience. Additionally, we have special events with live music and kinder entertainers. We prepare a 3-course menu for special occasions and you can find them on our website in the calendar section. 📅 We hope, you will give us another chance one day and that time it will be 5 stars. We had dinner here, a 3 course set menu which we pre-booked months before our trip. The menu was 100% German sort of food, which we didn't mind after all we were in Berlin. So some interesting food which we wouldn't normally have the pleasure of eating.
It was a lovely evening, there was a pianist softly playing the piano the whole time. The views of Berlin were amazing. We watched a small rain storm sweep across part of Berlin, rainbows appear, the sunsetting and eventually day turning into night with the city coming to life as the lights came on.

The food was great, the wine was nice and the waiter was an absolute rock star, he made sure we had the best time...

Visit to the iconic tv tower was largely enjoyable however it was eur50 to sit in the restaurant for 4 of us before we ordered coffee and cake which was in addition.
The cake wasn’t fresh ( not quite defrosted ) had to request the usually obligatory whipped cream.. the service was slow and the Berliner Winter dessert was very small !!

It was cloudy so view not great but the overall experience was worthwhile.

It's an experience that you pay for, but worth it. You could just visit the observation deck, but we did Breakfast at the restaurant. We booked before going, I'd recommend because a lot of the times were booked several weeks in advance. With limited choices that Saturday and nothing in the evening, we did Breakfast at 9:00 am Sunday morning and it was good. The view is great. It wasn't crowded so we stayed awhile. I think we went around 3 or 4 times. We each had an entree and then we shared a kids pancakes. The food is good but you are paying for the view. I love revolving restaurants so it was worth it to me.

I'm in love with towers and their views, which provide me with a different perspective of the city that I'm visiting. Berliner Fernsehturm provides this on a pretty high level, but being pretty pricy tough, costing me 30€ to sit in a restaurant. Despite the fee, the experience is really good, restaurant having a moving floor that slowly circles you around the city (in contrast to some other towers that I visited). On the viewing floor, one level lower, you get a lot of information on the city interest points that can be seen from the tower.

I have been visiting Berlin since 1988 when the city was still divided and the Berliner Fernsehturm was a symbol of Communist Power and of the East German capital. After the fall of the wall the tower was earmarked for demolition, thankfully it stayed in one piece. It was constructed between 1965 and 1969 and stands at a height of 368 metres and is the tallest structure in Germany and the third tallest structure in the European Union.

I have been to observation deck in the past and decided to return on my latest visit to the city. Accessing the observation deck was easy enough even in Covid-19 times, I had to prove I was fully vaccinated and asked to follow strict safety regulations and then it was straight to the ticket desk and shortly afterwards I was directed to elevator.

The views from the observation deck are phenomenal with 360 degree views of the city and beyond. It was possible to see the differences between the former West and East areas of city mostly because of the architectural styles, communist era tenement blocks dominate the former DDR districts. It was fairly busy when I visited as the sun was setting but a lot quieter than in pre-covid days. The Fernsehturm is an absolute must see when in Berlin, it is a short walk from Alexanderplatz and the ticket price is fairly reasonable. The views of the city are incredible and give a different perspective of the metropolis than from ground level.

At €55 euro for 2 people just to get up to the restaurant and a small, pricey menu, I was expecting more. The food was very average at most, a far cry from "delicious, freshly prepared international dishes and Berlin specialities of the highest quality" boasted on the website. Within 5 minutes of ordering, the food had arrived, leaving us questioning how "freshly prepared" it really was. The bill came to over €55 for two main dishes and some water. We weren't expecting it to be cheap, but hope that the quality would follow the high price tag. Would have been better off going to the viewing platform (the view really is amazing) and getting dinner from a street food venue.
