- jslargeTewkesbury, United Kingdom14 contributionsExcellent Views and VR Experience. Too many poepleI visited on a Sunday morning at opening time at 10am. 360 Views from the top are terrific and well worth it and are provided with images below pointing out key landmarks and supporting info. Thankfully it wasn't too busy at opening time but was a lot busier by the time I headed down at 11am. I felt there were too many people there then and had to queue at each viewing place to look out. Also, there was no staff keeping people moving along - For instance one person was stood in front of the window looking down Unter Den Linden for over 15 minutes scrolling through their Instagram and one family looked like they were setting up a picnic with their coats over the supporting images! The History of Berlin VR was excellent and I would recommend.Visited February 2024Traveled soloWritten March 2, 2024
- Rafaela F2 contributionsVery goodWe went on the first day of the trip, which was a great decision! We were able to get an overview of the city and even discover places to visit that we hadn't previously mapped. Furthermore, we learned a little more about the history of some buildings. There is also a QR code that gives access to the website where you can see where the Berlin Wall was, it's really cool!Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 5, 2024
- IreneAthens, Greece64 contributionsMy experience at the Berliner FernsehturmIt's something different from the usual. At the entrance on the ground floor, there is an information desk and they are helpful to explain any question you may have. You don't go up whenever you want, you book a ticket for a specific day and time, because it's very crowded. For the observatory it is €26.50 per person (February 2024) and if you want to sit in the restaurant you must inform in time, so that they tell you when a table is available and of course the charge there is proportional to what you will get. We found the food very average and expensive, we attributed it to the location (ok for once for the experience). It's nice that the "sphere" rotates, so in half an hour (that's how much it rotates), you see the whole city of Berlin from above. Just make sure it's not foggy, which happens often at least in winter....Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 20, 2024
- Natalie Starling-BoothBirmingham, United Kingdom1,215 contributionsFantastic views of BerlinWe visited yesterday and were not disappointed. I didn't realise this attraction was linked to the 360 in Chicago which we did a few years ago. The lift ride up is quite quick and the roof lights up so you can see when you have reached the top. The views are amazing once you are up there, we were lucky because we had picked a really nice sunny and clear day so we could see for miles. The information at each window is really good to, tells you what you are looking at and gives a little history lesson. This is one of the best towers we have visited and it's not too expensive to do either. We paid around €50.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 21, 2024
- Tobias MVienna, Austria7 contributionsExpected moreSince we have the Berlin Welcome Card All Inclusive, we didn't have to wait two hours or pay the almost €30. In my opinion, it would be neither worth the wait nor the money. Since there are quite a lot of people up there at the same time, you first have to find a place to enjoy the view. The view itself was of course beautiful.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 27, 2024
- Jim CEdinburgh, United Kingdom9 contributionsExpensive for a view.Very expensive compared to other similar towers in Germany with less to do. Herded up to the lift to find that you could look out the windows, drink at the overpriced bar or use the vending machine. Viewing windows are set too far away from where you stand to really appreciate the height.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 5, 2024
- Line2Lille13 contributionsMagical experienceMagical experience. We had purchased our tickets in advance, no waiting, welcoming staff Climbing more than 200m allows you to have an incredible panorama of Berlin The restaurant offers a menu with delicious dishes and in correct quantities (the Black Forest and the chocolate cake are very successful), the restaurant staff is friendly The bar is openVisited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 7, 2024
- June ASurrey, United Kingdom2,755 contributionsDominates the skylineThe TV Tower dominates the Berlin skyline being visible for miles around and as such gives the best views of the city. Yes, it is expensive but it's kind of worth it as it gives such a good introduction to the city and is right there in the middle of everything. Its free of course with a Berlin card - a good reason to get one. The queues are lengthy at times though so it's best to go either early or maybe towards the end of the afternoon. I'm an early riser so getting there early was no problem for me. The exhibition on the history of the tower is worth a look as well to give you a perspective on how and why it was built.Visited May 2023Traveled soloWritten April 14, 2024
- Julie M27 contributionsGreat but priceyWe thoroughly enjoyed it! Loved the 'retro' vibe of it all! But do feel its a little expensive. (But it was something we wanted to visit) .We paid at the ticket machine when we arrived which proved to be a bit of a problem as the machine didn't print the tickets - luckily it never took payment, and printed them on our second attempt. We also discovered, after our visit, that if you booked on line there was on offer that if you went before 10am the ticket price was €5 cheaper! We went at 1030 on a Tuesday and there weren't many people which made the experience better. We fell lucky as it was a clear day and the views are amazing. I recommend taking a bottle of water as it does get very warm and 'stuffy', take your own as the vending machine at the top is also expensive! Food isn't allowed. There is a gift shop too - also expensive! To sum it up - a great over priced experience!Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 20, 2024
- Max5365Rome, Italy341 contributionsNot to be missedOn a trip to Berlin you can't help but climb the tower, which represents a bit what the Eiffel Tower is for Paris: it can be seen from almost the entire city and characterizes the panorama. On Alexanderplatz, then, it is truly (and suggestively) looming. The elevator to get to the 203 meter observatory is very fast (although in some skyscrapers in Shanghai there are even faster ones) and the view is super; in the evening from the restaurant (which is on a higher floor), then the kaleidoscope of lights is fascinating.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 29, 2024

The experience of climbing 230 meters high in a few moments and enjoying the view of Berlin from above is priceless. We also had dinner in the restaurant while watching the view slowly but very pleasantly turning 360 degrees. Dinner is certainly the best time because you can watch the sunset from a privileged position. The food is not worth the price paid but if I think about the whole experience I recommend it to everyone.

The Berlin TV Tower offers great views around Berlin. There was a short line to wait to get on the elevator since only a certain amount of people is sllowed to be on top. There’s a security check before getting to the elevator on the 2nd floor. There are two lines to the security check area and you don’t always get to go in the order of arrival it seems.
Elevator ride is quite fast and you see the elevstor shaft above you. When you arrive on the viewing level, you can find a bar there. Prices are really high! We tried one of their signature drinks and it didn’t do what it was told to do, but tasted nice. Views are great and information about the sights is provided on the window ills.
To go down, we had to queue quite a while. There’s also a revolving restaurant one floor up (stairs go up), and you need a ticket to get there (buy that instead of the regular one). I think you’ll also need a reservation to get there. At least during the summer weekend we visited, the restaurant was fully booked at least one week ahead. There’s also a VR experience available downstairs with extra cost and the souvenier shop is located downstairs.
The TV Tower is also a beautiful landmark from outside. You can marvel it both far away (outskirts of Berlin) and closeby. If you don’t fancy seeing the views around Berlin from up above, just coming to see this at Alexanderplatz might be the best option for you. The location makes it extremely easy to reach since it’s in the middle of major public transport hub. It’s also surrounded by countless dining and cafe options as well as shops and other well-known tourist attractions.

My husband and i booked a ticket for the sphere bar experience includes a drink and snack €79 for both of us. There was no queue we walked straight in. When we got to the top we showed our ticket which said be prompt. The bar area was tiny, we thought we would get a table at least but we had to stand. We got a choice of sparling wine, beer or non alcoholic cocktail then either a meat ball or sausage in a sauce and a bread bun, no veg option bizarre, when i asked the lady she almost laughed in my face. The snack was beyond average. Don’t do this package, Just pay the entry fee and pick a cocktail you would like and eat elsewhere. The staff were rude at the bar the lady that served us was more helpful to the German speaking customers or single males. It definitely wasn’t worth €79 euros we felt ripped off by this experience. The view was the only good experience.

We had to wait a total of 5 hours from when we bought our tickets to when we could actually go up to the tower, however this could potentially have been avoided if we’d booked online. It was absolutely packed and there was no working air con up there! Sure, the views were great but for the price we paid I wouldn’t say it was worth it personally. If you don’t like enclosed spaces or feeling trapped I’d say avoid and go to a different observation deck for a cheaper price!

Having booked tickets (€27.50 per person, this does not include any food) for the Sphere restaurant at lunch time, when we arrived we were given a table on the inside of the revolving ring, meaning that there were people at tables between us and the view. I asked at the arrivals desk if we could move to a table beside the window but was declined and told that “those tables have already been allocated”, despite the fact you’re not allowed to request specific tables when you book. While we were there, the restaurant remained half-empty and there were plenty of window tables we could have been moved to. We walked into this knowing it’s a tourist trap and that we were paying over the odds for visiting a famous landmark, but having visited the Panoramapunkt (equally a tourist trap) and seeing how well they do things there, this was a stark reminder of Berlin “customer service” at its worst. In addition, there is no air conditioning and the restaurant is absolutely sweltering on a muggy day. I would advise avoiding the overpriced and average food of the restaurant, stick to the (slightly cooler) viewing platform and spend your money on better food and service elsewhere.

We booked a window seat in the restaurant from 3pm-4.30 pm in winter so we watched the city go from (admittedly quite a grey) day to night. The ticket is quite expensive at €55 for 2 people and any food or drink was additional to this, but it was a lovely way to spent 90 mins, getting 3 revolutions of the restaurant. The day time menu runs till 4pm so we were able to enjoy some lite bites with our German sparkling wine.

First of all, get rid of the guy on your door (evening of 31st Oct) He is rude to all guests. If you are even a minute early he won't let you in. Someone in front of me urgently needed the toilet and he wouldn't let them through into the reception. Once you get in and to the top it's so crowded you can't get near the windows. Complete waste of money. I do not recommend this attraction.

From the observation tower you have a beautiful view of the entire city in a 360 green view! You could see the contrast between east and west Berlin very clearly through the architecture and residential infrastructure. Just leaving the observation deck can take some time and personally I found it a bit busy upstairs. I also recommend purchasing tickets online in advance if you want to add this attraction to your list in Berlin. A beautiful view, but a must see is perhaps a bit overstated.

We were in Berlin for the Christmas holidays and decided not to miss the visit to the Tower by purchasing a priority entry ticket on Get Your Guide.
It's a shame that we queued for half an hour outside just to enter the structure, twenty for the checks and another 45 minutes to take the lift up. The real priority entry with preferential lane was that of those who had booked a table at the restaurant.
Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the attraction very much due to the crowds and the difficulty in being able to read and look at the various attractions of a city like Berlin which has so many at the right time.
Noticeable queue also for the descent.
I don't give it five stars because of the chaos and the management that isn't suited to the flow of visitors which doesn't allow you to enjoy it properly.
For the rest...don't miss it!! It has its own charm!! With the hope that at other times of the year you can fully enjoy it!!

To start with it's not straightforward to find the entrance as it's not where you expect it to be. You will queue to get in if you don't have tickets, then queue to get tickets and then at security and then at the lift.
I would recommend that you hang your coats in the cloakroom and get a ticket because there is no air-conditioning in viewing gallery and it's jam packed, and you can hardly move.
Once you have walked around you will then have to queue to get the lift down.
In all I would say you'll probably spend more time queuing that actually enjoying the view.
We went on a really sunny day in October and the views were great, I wouldn't like to say what the views would be like in poor weather.
Personally we prefered the Reichstag Dome.

There didn’t seem to be a time limit when I was there, no one was checking you in and out at the lift, they were only making sure the lift wasn’t overcrowded though I’m not sure what you would do for a couple of hours up there, how long can you spend looking at roofs ?

Yes you can go up to the bar for just a drink, but you will still have to pay to ho up, and at around £25 per person its an expensive drink and view.

Hello andycoldham, thank you very much for your question. Please book your restaurant ticket for 25.50 € online in advance. There you can enjoy the highest culinary sightseeing tour of Berlin, as the restaurant is revolving. On site you choose your meal and pay for food & beverages. All the best, your Berlin TV Tower Team

Hello! I’m visiting Berlin 31st December - 3rd Jan 2020 and hoping to visit the TV Tower. I’ve been looking at tickets online but it says ‘no tickets available’, this is the same for all future dates in 2020. Does anyone know if the tickets for the tv tower are released gradually? Am I looking too far in advance?
Written October 14, 2019
Good afternoon, I think you have to check other sites or other combinations of tickets. You can buy tickets only for viewing or for the restaurant. If everything says no available tickets the problem maybe the dates and that time of year is very busy..

They aren’t getting back to me through the info form.
Has anyone else had similar issue? I have a screenshot of the booking reference - is this enough or have they basically taken my money and left me without tickets,
