This is one of the main shopping districts in Berlin, also with a range of good places to eat and drink at. I stayed near here on my final night in Berlin before heading back to Singapore - quite a convenient area. Plenty of designer...More
I walked along Kurfurstendam (Ku-Dam) several times during my visit to Berlin in August and September 2018. Ku-dam is a lively part of Berlin with a lot of stores, restaurants and pedestrian traffic. Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church marks the beginning of Ku-dam.
This is a hotel where you sure not to feel welcome in anyway.
When we arrived the receptionist was very irritated that we were 3 people. For some reason she expected 2. She never said welcome or offered anything that could make our stay pleasant....More
My hotel was perfectly placed just around the corner so it was perfect to take a stroll anytime. There are normal shops and some better boutiques, plus places to eat and people watch along this fairly long strip. There are a couple of department stores...More
Depending on your point of view you will either love Ku'Damm as it's one amazing shopping street lined with all manner of shopping outlets ,mostly high end outlets, world renowned brands and all housed in unbelievably attractive buildings, this is not my scene at all ,I...More
Shopping session on the KuDamm. Combining the useful and the pleasant. Walking quietly on the wide sidewalk, looking at the smart buildings, at the luxury shops. In the shade of plane trees on a sunny afternoon. And shopping of course.
I'd like to think of this area as the shopping mlle...if you don't tire yourself out here, then you are a master shopper! Even my legs could not take it anymore. Looking for high end brands, curio shops, cafes, ice cream palours etc the this...More
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop
down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.

There is a really nice food-court style self serve restaurant on the 6th floor of Karstadt. Food was great - not a typical US food court, rather much better stuff. Good salads, sandwiches, meat dishes , desserts, wines, etc. And they have a nice outdoor balcony which overlooks the Kaiser Wilhelm church
