Love the mix of art and architecture. A marvel of a collection well presented would come again and again.

Pros: Good collection of Greek and Roman artefacts; informative and free audio guide. Cons: No "must-see" pieces in the collection; even for a history fan, it gets abit repetitive/ boring after awhile.

€10 to see a lot of marble statues. I expected more for the price. 40 minutes and you're done. The building itself it beautiful and the location is amazing.

The first thing that impressed me was the sheer scale of this building. The architecture alone is worth the visit. There are many Greek and Roman exhibits, well laid out within the different exhibition and annotated in both German and English and, I believe, multilingual...More

Here you can see impressive collections of Greek, Roman and Egyptian excavations Germans amassed over the years. Some of the objects have been repatriated to their countries of origin because they were considered spoils of war, but much still remains and some have had to...More

Has a very large collection of Greek and Roman items, probably on of the best in the World. Unfortunately lacks that one thing that would be must see (something like the Head of Nefretiti in the Neues Museum or the Ishtar Gate in the Pergamon)....More

This collection is found in the Altes Museum on Museum Island. Many high quality antiquities from Greek and Roman times are housed here even if there is nothing as in-your-face as Nefertiti's bust. If I could visit just two museums in Berlin, this would be...More

The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
