We did expect something but it was almost nothing. Maybe for kindergarten kids but not for adult. So it was diappointment.

The sea life is great and a discount with our Berlin Welcome Card. It is very interactive and some fish swim over your head. The décor makes you think you are at a Disney theme park like Pirates of Caribbean. There is a variety of fish there and you get very close. The AquaDome was disappointing however. I expected to... Sea Life if too small and too expensive. When you look at the map the place seems huge, but it's a trap. In fact most of the areas are not much bigger than 10 * 10 meters. And you often need to wait your turn, to see anything. While I do like that they display local fish from the Spree... More

Dear Jan_Bruns, Thank you very much for your feedback. Unfortunately we cannot reduce the price for the AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin due to the high costs for the aquarium and our several conservation projects but please have a look on our webpage as we often have special online offers. We stopped here on a rainy day & it was worth the cost. Interesting exhibits of sea life are geared for children. AquaDom is an elevator ride (glass sides) inside a round aquarium. Discount coupons are available.

€65 for four people was just not worth it. We saw the usual fish, a few rays, and some small sharks. There is a passport for the kids. If they get all the pages stamped as they walk through the aquarium, they win a prize. Sadly, the prize is a little button you pin on your shirt. The best part... More

Very similar to other Sealife attractions in other cities (like in Munich). They have a lot of colorful fish. The whole Sealife seems to be targeted at children and I guess it's worth a family trip. The AquaDom is worth seeing.

Dear dobermai, Thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry that you were not completly satisfied with your visit. As we are a coldwater aquarium most of the fish are not as colorful as tropical fish this is true. We take your comment very serious and will check what we can do to change it. Kind regards M.... Not worth what we paid for 2 adults: 35 euro.... Not any different to any other Sea Life, the London one is 10 times better. Also the Aquadom I think we should have gotten free as we were staying in the Radisson Blu hotel!

After being to Blue Planet in Copenhagen, Sea Life in London and other aquariums, is Sea Life Berlin a big disappointment. They have good PR for the aquarium but that it is. It is small and you have gone through the aquarium in 30min. The Dom was not to expectations. I think the aquarium and Dom could be good for... More

This is where you go if you have small kids and want to see fish trapped in small aquariums. They have a lot of different types of fish and some of them is cool to look at. The AquaDom wasn't that amazing, it was a big aquarium with colorful fishes. As I mention earlier this is a place for small... More

I stayed at the hotel, which was nice, because the queue to see the aquarium, was almost two hours. I feel like this is one of the things in life I "had to see" in Berlin this time. It is special and exciting, especially for kids. The colors and the sea creatures are great.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
